Hello.

Are there any other girls/ladies with asperger/autism in here? I got the diagnose in adulthood and feel a bit like the only girl in the world.

Trust me, you are not alone here!

There are many girls/women with Asperger's on this Site. I used to talk to somebody from Norway, though she became busy, and stopped coming here. Not because of WrongPlanet. Just because she became busy.

There's a woman's discussion subsection here.

Thanks for reply.
Then maybe I'm in the right place. :)

Yep....you certainly are in the right place!

There are many people here whose first language is not English. And they post in all sections without any problems.

If you have interest in autism itself, you can post in a few subforums----but especially General and Autism Activism.

If you have an interest in science, we have a Science section

Unless you like to argue, I'd avoid the News and Philosophy/Politics/Religion section.

Thank you for your answer. Good to know. :)

Many possibilities.

:) I can discuss things calmly and mutually listening, but I do not like "angry" discussions. It rarely brings anything good out of it.

I don't like "angry" discussions, either. They serve no purpose.

I've only been to Norway in the sense of being in an airport near Oslo on my way to Greece. My wife has been to Oslo, though.

Ok, so you've been to Gardermoen Airport (or the former Fornebu Airport), it's close to Oslo. I live about 10 norwegian miles from Oslo. :)

Greece is nice, I've visited it twice.

Do you live in the United States?

Nope. It was an airport further away from Oslo: Moss Airport in Rygge (though it might have recently been closed).

I live in New York City, New York, United States.

Have you ever been to Hammerfest? I've always been sort of fascinated by that place.

Never heard of a "Norwegian Mile." Do you mean kilometers? I'm good at converting kilometers to miles. 10 kilometers is 6.2 miles.

Aha, Moss Airport.

The United States and New York are big. Do you thrive?

No never been that far north, but it seems exciting.

One norwegian mile is 10 km. :)

I do okay. I sometimes "thrive." I'm used to city living----though I would love to live in a rural area.

Most of the United States is actually open spaces. You can drive for many miles in forests and in grasslands in the United States. Sometimes without seeing another car for a long time.

Ok, I also like that it's a bit rural, but not too deserted.

I live in a small town, about 25 000 people.

Nice to meet you, I have to log off now. You must have a nice day ahead. :)

Yes, there are women here who post frequently. A bunch of us are middle aged and up, so you do have company.

I haven't been to Norway, but my grandson lives in Sweden.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

Thanks so much for the reply. :)

Nice to "meet" others like me.

Yes, Sweden is the nearest neighboring country. Which country do you live in?

Don't worry, Norway83. It's not that she doesn't want to answer. It's that she has a job where she can't always be on this Site.
