Hi there! This is my first post after lurking for about a week, debating on whether I should sign up or not.

Diagnosed with Autism since around the age of 12, I'd always had trouble, but when I had moved to a program that had opened up, I had flourished. Now at the age of 18, I do quite well in School and have a good grasp of what life with Autism actually means to me.

Welcome to WP!

Tell us more ... you didn't indicate what your interests are in your profile.

What are you interested in?

Glad to hear you're doing well at school.

I have 3 sons with Asperger's (only 2 officially diagnosed) aged 9, 7 and 4.

Since they've been diagnosed and had support they're doing well at school.

Regards
Helen

I actually went to do that just now, but unfortunately there isn't enough text space to actually go in depth on the subject.

Well, here goes nothing.

My interests? Well...where to start. First off I enjoy video games and reading, both Japanese manga, particularly the Jojo's Bizarre adventure series due to the sheer inventiveness of it and Tom Clancy novels. My other predominant interest at the moment is Aviation. I owe a friend of mine for that one.

I enjoy socializing with other Autistics as, in my opinion, they can hold a much more intelligent conversation longer than other people I know. I have very little patience for those who don't behave properly in school, as the time the teacher wastes attempting to discipline those students could be better used actually helping students who are struggling in classes.
