I don’t know if this is an existing thread but talk about whatever your special interests are right now! Can be any length just talk about whatever.

I really struggle with my interests and I think it’ll help to just see that other people have interests of their own.

Music.

I am in an orchestra which performs regularly, went to a music camp for that instrument in the summer with a big concert at the end, taking private lessons for a different instrument, currently in a rock school course for a different instrument again, and in a celtic music group for the instrument I am taking lessons in. I want to join another orchestra when I am better in my 2nd instrument, and I would like to take lessons for my 3rd instrument as well as music theory lessons but there are only so many evenings a week so maybe in the future. I am not talented by any stretch of the imagination but I love making noise, and I love playing music with other people. At least half or more of the music I listen to all day is recordings of the groups I am in. I also spend a lot of time trying to compose music but don't have a lot of success.

Motorsports has always been an interest, but stock car racing has started to get my attention when it never did before.

Music, although I'm not very skilled.

Recently MMA has returned as an interest, like always from the participation side, not the spectating side.

History is a bit latent right now, but only barely.

I have thousands of special interest. I am very old and my various interest add up though the years. That is how I learn. I find a special interest area and I dive into it with all my energy and become over a short period of time a SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT. Then something else happens and I dive into that subject. As a result, more and more things appear and I become very functional. I can do almost anything my mind sets itself to do.

Classical piano -playing. At the moment: Mozart and Chopin.

At the moment: Chopin prelude 6 in b minor (about death - and fitting, if you are traumatized, which I am after a traffic incident :x ) - and Mozart Piano Sonata in C major, K.330 :) (I survived).

reading everything, maybe a book a day,
searching the internet for answers to my thousands of daily questions about autism rocks and fossils, nature, geology, biology, anything else that captures my interests.
attending and participating in online forums,
writing an autism blog,
hiking in woods and along lake shores in beautiful Northern lower Michigan USA, where I live.

I'm very interested in history and archaeology. I've been spending a lot of time looking up news stories about new finds. It's fascinating to see what people are studying.

Also spending a lot of time learning about architecture around the world.

Spending lots of time building and mining in minecraft. It's a creative outlet for me.

These are just things I've been especially interested in this week.
