Favorite music: Top bands are Radiohead, VNV Nation, Skinny Puppy (and associated Puppy projects), Muse, David Bowie, and Depeche Mode.

Books: The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis is my absolute everything. I also like the Sword of Truth series (up until it turned into pro-capitalist propaganda, like, why was that necessary, bro?), and I recall having a particular fondness for Good Omens and Snow Crash, but it's been a hot minute since I've read 'em. Same with A Clockwork Orange.

TV shows/Movies: Not really that into TV/Movies, but I do love Futurama and Buffy. Stranger Things is pretty dope. Some comfort movies are Hackers, The Fifth Element, Donnie Darko, and Underworld (1 & 3, can happily leave the rest behind).
Other comfort movies that are purely for the lulz: The Twilight Saga and LOTR. The meme culture surrounding 'em make them so much more fun.

Family: Parents, brother, older. Used to be close with them. Stopped being cool with my brother when he decided to blame his failure of a first marriage on my parents (because the fact that his ex-wife was, like, mentally and physically abusive was totally their fault, I guess). Have grown distant from my parents since my partner died. I don't know why. Talking to them just hurts now.
ETA: OH! I have two cats, Zombie (tux) and Nivek Ogre (orange).

Clothing: I'm a jeans and band tee type. Been really into funky sheer sweaters and long sleeved crops on top lately... but I still rock my battle vest sometimes. Footwear varies between Docs and Vans. And dumb socks. I HAVE SOCKS WITH THE FRICKIN OSCAR MAYER WEINERMOBILE AND THEY ARE EVERYTHING TO MEEEEEE.

Why are you here? I was diagnosed when I was five. I actually a lot of NT friends,and lived a fairly normal life, up until middle school. I started struggling a lot more after that.

When were you diagnosed?: For Aspergers? age five, but I also have ADHD, OCD and Dyspraxia, but wasn't diagnoed with those three until high school

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I've had a GAD diagnosis for a couple of years now, but I was diagnosed with autism about 2-ish weeks ago at the time of writing this.

Family: I live with my mom, dad, and little brother. I also have a dog (a corgi + blue heeler mix). as for history of neurodivergence, the only other case we know of is my baby cousin on my mom's side, who is autistic. we don't know who passed the gene down to me.

Clothing: I have a few shirts I rotate throughout the week, most of which have video game characters on them, but right now I'm wearing this shirt with the mascot from some university, I like it because it's a cool dog and it's comfy.

Job: none at the moment, but over the summer I had a job interning for the IT department at my school. I start back next semester.

Plans for the future?: I would say I want to go to MIT, but unfortunately due to cost reasons it's not very plausible. I want to do something in cybersecurity for a job, malware research specifically is preferred because I'm pretty sure it's my special interest.

Unofficial diagnosis 2 years ago, officially diagnosed about 2 months ago ASD level 2 and inattentive ADHD. Also depression and anxiety.

Star Wars ships, vehicles and weapons. Sci-fi in general.

Didn’t do well at school, but got a Bachelor of Nursing as a mature age student.

I liked sports at school and was good at it. Now the only thing I sometimes watch is the V8 Supercar series here in Australia. I have never understood how people get so excited over sport.

I don’t have a job at the moment. I’m learning to drive Heavy Rigid trucks at the moment. The thought of having to actually do a job interview terrifies me. My best job was 3 years in the military, but I found I didn’t do well with authority.

Why are you here? Pretty much all my experience of autism comes from kids/youths, working as a teacher. Would like to meet others similar minded people with an adult perspective on it. To get to know people and maybe learn something.

Do you like sports?: It was a special interest when I was a kid, youth, early adulthood. Don't care as much for it now, only for the people who do it. Currently I'm a coach for 12-year-old kids playing handball. So many of them have personality traits of people with ADHD, autism. We get along great.
Do enjoy thinking of the tactical aspects of a game. As a kid I loved the strict rules and restriction. It was a great place for me to get real creative. And also a wonderful places to study and learn social intractions, mainly because of great coaches. They are a inspiration for me to help my club to work to improve itself. To become a safe and inclusive place where kids and youths can interact.

Family: Father, mother, sister and brother. None of my own.

Clothing: Comfort is key. Type differ from at home or at work. They do tend to have the same mixture of fabric.

Job: Used to work as a teacher. Unemployed at the moment. The testing for my diagnos has delayed/limited the search of a new occupation. The police are interested in my talents for intel/investigating/analytics work.

Plans for the future? Learn more about myself and my autism. What works and don't works for me. Get a job. Try to be happy at all levels. Might fail, but might fail and only be happy in some areas of my life.
