I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at JBER Military Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. About 4 years ago from age 3 - 21 I was told I had Mild Mental Retardation VA / Air Force Doctor review my record interviewed me and bam .
I was always called ... off ,defiant ,eccentric and evil, devil spawn . I learned to walk,talk and read early age 3 had early cerebral insult age three .
Limited interests : dinosaurs & animals (all), water.
I can recall these
Speech delayed , could not tolerate large crowds would pee pants, rocked ,limited tastes to certain foods and a sensory to disorder to light touch and fabric, little to no eye contact ,got punished for toe walking alot and became pigeon toed than learned to rewalk x2 any way it has been a long journey to here I am a university of alaska anchorage student now with learning disabilities and with seizure disorder and tbi to boot so can't be the only one really out here with being nermal with a messed up uncaring burnt out family that is broken

My younger brother lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. It can be a really cold place in the winter. Many of your traits are common for those on this forum. Let me say one point. You are not broken. You are just different. Believe in yourself and your unique capabilities. What, you didn't know you had special abilities. Look deeper and perhaps you can find them.

You described some of your differences, different traits. One was very interesting. You wrote:

I met someone on this site that had almost the same symptom. He walked on his toes. He was on the site for awhile. The second time he came back, I gave him a site name Huckleberry Finn or Huck Finn for short.

He was similar to me but also at the same time he was very different. When I think, I think in terms of words. But when he thinks he thinks in terms of pictures. As a result, he thinks near the speed of light. We both have night time brains. My thinking is similar to REM sleep and his is similar to deep NREM sleep.

The human brain is much more complex then most people realize. This is because we have multiple brains. Some are daytime brains and some night time brains. If we suffer a severe brain injury when we are young, our daytime and night time brains can reverse. I died when I was around 3 or 4. I weighed around 15 pounds and a large bull that weighed over 1000 pounds attacked me. It was like being attacked by a dinosaur.

There is a book that you might find interesting. It is called, "Whole Brain Living" by Jill Bolte Taylor. She died when she was around 35 by a severe stroke. But she survived. But she came back as a different person. Her left dominant brain was damaged but her right night time brain came back and she survived. It is a very interesting book to read.
