--Yesterday by my therapist.

--I love Anime & can get obsessively interested in one, but I'm not sure why my brain picks one over another.

--Fake Librarian for 6+ years, part time library aide for 5+ years before that. My rural community is small so I run a library but did not need a degree. I'm sorry to everyone who has one.
Plans for the future?
--Retire soon but I'm not old enough & have no financial safety net.
Any comments?
--I got in trouble at work for how I relate to the public. I'm debating how much to tell people. I have a s#+*ton of social anxiety and trauma related to interacting with others. I don't mind being around people, I'm just scared to death to interact with them.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Last Friday, but it's not official until I have the final appointment with my evaluator, so it will be December 13th.

Favorite subjects: Natural science, permaculture, psychology, music and lots more.
Favorite music: I like extreme metal; mostly symphonic, folk, and power metal. I also like classical, folk, electronic, goth rock and darkwave.
Books: LOTR, The Hobbit, Narnia, Redwall etc.
TV shows/Movies: I like documentaries, thrillers, science-fiction, dramedies.
Instrument: I played violin as a kid, but these days I'm mostly just a vocalist.

I answered these back in 2012ish, but it's fun to see how I've changed:
What is your first name?: I go by "Pauli" these days
Age: I turn 30 in a few weeks
Location: Southern United States
Hobbies and Interests: Stardew Valley, Pokémon, sleeping
Why are you here?: I joined back in 2012 when I was informally diagnosed with Asperger's by a therapist I was seeing at the time. I felt alone and desperately needed to feel less alone. And indeed it did -- I owe what little self-confidence I had as an older teen / young adult to this forum.
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): see above. I was also informally diagnosed with PDD-NOS in college and then ADHD a few months ago (that one I AM pursuing an official diagnosis for because my executives are NOT functioning; the autism I'm pretty sure I have, given that more than one therapist has said "yes that checks out" and given that I had developmental delays as a child and was in Special Education in elementary school, but my support needs are mild enough to where it's hard to justify the cost and the waitlist). I've been formally diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and hearing loss (I've been wearing hearing aids for about a year now), and I have some fatigue-causing condition (my primary care doctor has put "fatigue -- not otherwise specified" in my notes).
Favorite subjects / Grade: I graduated from college in 2016 with a double-major Bachelor's in English and Psychology. I remain deeply interested in psychology and in the study of disability and disability services to this day.
Favorite music: Musicals, but also pretty much anything
Books: I read a lot of parenting books these days. I also read a lot of children's board books now on account of having a toddler.
TV shows/Movies: I don't watch TV shows much these days, but I do watch a lot
of ASMR on Youtube.
Instrument: I played the Clarinet in middle and high school and was in choir in high school and college.
Do you like sports?: I like skateboarding, but I'm very much an amateur.
Family: I live with my husband, my toddler daughter, and two cats. I'm close to my parents and my in-laws. I have several siblings and step-siblings.

Job: I am currently a Support Coordinator Supervisor. I oversee a team of 4 Support Coordinators; we help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including but not limited to autism, managed their home and community based Medicaid waivers.
Plans for the future?: Help this tiny tot grow into a happy, self-assured, generally kind and good human being.
Any comments?: Yeah I probably won't remain too active here -- life is hectic between the toddler and work -- but it's always nice to see this site still standing.
