Hi, I'm new. I've never joined an online community before. My counselor said it would be a good idea to talk to people with similar experiences.
wow! Then you have a lot to learn, its a completely new world once you discover it. It fits some people and some it dont fit. For me its the optimal saving of my need of socialisation. Without an online community like this I would suffer on beeing extremely lonely!
It is indeed a good idea but you shall only stay if you feel you like it and find it useful for yourself. So, my recommendation to you is to give it plenty of time. Stay around her and observe and browse in the archives. Look how the rest of us communicate and share our experiences. This is a very big forum with many visitors and newcommers every day. It can give an overwhelming impression in the beginning, like: OMG where to start!!

My doctor thinks I may have mild Aspergers, and I'm going to go to a diagnostic assessment to find out. Other people in my family are on the autism spectrum. Even if I don't have Aspergers, I still have trouble making friends and would rather sit in my room drawing maps and designing animals for my fantasy world.
Hello everyone!
Its a great introduction of yours. Feel yourself warmly welcomed and make yourself comfortable. Dont hesitate to ask us if you have questions about how to operate the forum or approach an "Moderator" who is a kind of "guideline" person. Also we have a kind of "internet languge" which you hopefully learn by time.
