Well, I've been lurking for a month or two, pretty much since I found out about Asperger's and realized I had it sometime in November. I think it was early November but I have no clue, to tell you the truth. I found out because in Science, we were talking about genetics, and Autism came up, and the teacher said that to people with Autism, the world is louder and brighter. I already knew I had a lot in common with people with Autism from reading books, and I realized that if I percieved the world differently, it would explain my headaches, and the way everyone else seems deaf, even though I knew it was kind of unlikely I was autistic. I began researching, and reading along the way about anything related I found, including Asperger's.

Well, I turned 14 recently (I'm in 8th grade), and I'm from southeast Alaska. You know, the part of Alaska with far less snow than New York and many craploads of rain a year. I haven't been diagnosed yet (because my mom is procrastinating on this, like almost everything else) but I'm certain I have AS. I've been reading about it...a lot...

Well, I love cats (cats rule), computers, old videogames, drawing, playing piano, listening to music (anything but Miley Cyrus or rap, pretty much), and reading science fiction. I also like etymology sometimes, which is why I plan to learn Latin.

I have two little brothers, two cats that are adopted little sisters, and hopefully we'll be getting another cat soon. The older of my little brothers might be on the Autism spectrum, and both of them had or have speech/reading problems. My mom was a nerd, and is from a large family of smart people almost entirely of German ancestry, oddly enough (there are a lot of odd "coincidences" on her side of the family). My dad's side, on the other hand...well, opposite story. I've noticed a lot of cousins on that side of the family tend to get held back. My dad died a couple of years ago, a year after my parents divorced.

Also, I am an Earthbound/Mother series fan. I know I saw someone with a Mr. Saturn sprite for a picture :P

I really like the drawing! Did you do it yourself, or did a friend draw it for you? ^_^
Also, I'm a pretty big video game fan myself, so if you want someone to talk to about that I like some of the NES and SNES games!
