Hello, I am new here and I'm pretty sure that I have Aspergers Syndrome.

I have horrible social mechanics. I only have two friends. I have been very well shy for a big part of my life. I don't make immediate eye contact to people, it takes me a good amount of time before I can finally look at people. I also get nervous energy.

Obviously I like playing chess, whether it's normal one on one chess or chess variants. I have entered in some tournaments and it helped only alittle bit with my problems. I haven't won any tournaments but I certainly didn't finish in last place in alot of them. I'm also a sports fanatic. Baseball and football are way up there, but I leave some room for basketball, hockey and soccer. I also like to read a good amount of books, anything that involves my other interests.

I like the looks of this place and I'm glad that I found it!

I'm also brand-spanking-new, but didn't see the point in creating a new thread so I've decided to use and abuse yours!

It's only been recently that I was told that I had been diagnosed by an educational psychologist as being mildly autistic, this was 2 years ago and I had seemingly forgotten or blanked it out, so it came as quite a blow when I heard it again recently, this time round I was determined to find out what it was about instead of denying it.

I read just about everything I could find on the internet about autism and realised that I suffered from just about every symptom of Aspergers.

Anyways, enough of that, I'm here now.

We're not bad people. We just have social problems. "Obsess" is a very familiar word to us. A lot of us have few if any friends in real life, but we do have friends here. We're a very friendly group.

Hi, I'm new and joined today.

I am a 33yo guy and have a few months ago, after lots of searching, discovered what was staring me in the face all along - Asperger's, hence self-diagnosis

Had a look through the site and it is brilliant and am looking forward to interacting with you all.

I am an urban planner and enjoy gymming, mountain biking, art, etc.

Apologies for my poor use of English (very frustrating for me too) as it is not my 1st language.
