Please answer!

As for me, I'm currently located in a smelly old town called Ipswich, Suffolk, south-east England, UK, north-west Europe, Earth, Solar System, Milky Way, currently known Universe.

So, where are you from, and what's the weather like over there right now?

The temptation is just too much, I'm going to have to make a poll! Split into major counties or continents.

(sorry if this thread has been done before!)

I live in a small town of about 8,500 in the county of Lancashire, which is situated in north-west England. It's in the United Kingdom.

I live in a strange little area of small towns on the southern tip of a midwestern state, which is more like being in part of the South. At best picture the series Northern Exposure set in the South. At worst, picture the movie Deliverance. I both love and hate it here.

I live in Western New York. Those that don't live here assume that this is some neighborhood in New York City. Well, pull out a map. New York State is very big.

Northeast United States.
Current condition is rainy, the temp. feels surprisingly chilly. Sky's been grey for a couple days. Was humid, sultry, warm, and sunny a few days ago. Return of "thunderstorm season", volatile shifts in weather.

Victoria, BC.

Second largest city in this province, with about 300,000 people. I think there are something like 17 different municipalities. Technically it's not Victoria, but GREATER Victoria I live in, but everyone writes Victoria as their mailing address.

It's a strange city, full of history. There have been many eccentric types here.

I live right behind city hall for my own municipality, but that's not really the center of here. It's the suburbs here. I bring that up to draw attention to this next part, which is that I live next to a (coastal) rain forrest.

That is not an exegeration. It's second growth (as in, the area got chopped down and has regrown), but it does qualify as a rain forrest.

Also on a related note, you can drive around more or less all of Victoria and you see trees everywhere. Even downtown. (Though they aren't as frequent or impressive).

I get conflicting information about this, but supposedly the island I live on has the tallest trees in the world. (For now at least)

People around here also are a little garden obsessed. So a lot of areas are very colourful.

One of these days I'll have to take a few pictures.

The sad thing though is that things are getting really pro development around here. It's crazy. Probably half the reason people live out here is because there are so many trees around.

I hate development. It ruins nice places. I'd love to see pictures, though. I love places with tall trees.

Tim_Tex, is that near Spring Branch? I lived there awhile when I was young, many years ago.
