Hello everyone! It's about time I introduced myself :

I joined WP about a week ago, and almost immediately got addicted to one of the threads, so much so that I lost my manners. Aspie obsessiveness, don'tcha just love it?

Anyway, I've been a "lurker" for about seven years, reading WP from the outside, and I thought it was time to come in. Or come out, if you prefer!

This is a really, really fascinating place and I look forward to further interactions with some of you.

Thanks for listening!

Hi. It's good to come out of lurking. Especially after that long. I'd be interested to hear what you've learned.

Hi.

Well for a start that I should have done it sooner!

And that aspies have a very good sense of humour - they'll have to have to put up with me!

Hm, I lurked a little while before joining. It was a few months.

Nice to hear from you Serena.

I'll have to put in quite a few hours to get anywhere near your aspie score! :D

Welcome to a fellow 'lurker'! Been an infrequent visitor myself for many many years before finally joining last year, then it took nearly another year before mustering the courage to post :D

Thank you. I can´t really judge how many mistakes I make and so I warn everyone. I know I have some problems with word order and I am not always sure what tenses to use. But reading so many English posts here probably helps.

What is your native language, Nightingale, as a matter of interest? I tried to learn German once, and had a lot of problems with word-order!

You lurked 7 years ?! :o

I believe Syan said she lurked 6, if I remember correctly. So you hold the record, and may be addressed as 'Your Lurkiness'.

And Hi & Welcome

Thanks for the welcome. I think I'll renounce my claim to that form of address, if it's all the same to you!

German is my native language.
Maybe it´s rather typical to have problems with word-order when you have to learn one of those langages and already know the other one because you had the same problem with German that I have with English.
I guess it´s always difficult when a language has a different word-order than the native language because it´s not usual for the person and he/she can´t do it intuitive.
