Hello everyone.
I'm new here; stumbled across this place through Google.

I'm a 16-year old Aspie named Ashe. I haven't been officially diagnosed (my dad "doesn't believe in it"), but my mother has taught "kids like [me]" since before I was born, so she and my step-mother (a psychiatrist) unofficially diagnosed me when I was around 8 or so.

I don't really know what else to say though :?
So, uh... hi.

Hi Suteki,

Welcome to WP. :)

I am 16, too. My father doesn't believe in it, too. [already two things we have in common!].

You are lucky that your step mother is a phychiatrist...I could sure use that! Someone in your family who is ACTUALLY QUALIFIED to help you through a mental crisis! Also, is good that you were diagnosed when you were 8, I was only diagnosed last year at 15.

Don't worry about what to say in the intro thread...is not really important, aslong as you make your existance known here! [although that, too, is not a requirement].

River: Thank you. And yeah, it is nice having tons of info and there being forums and such. I just wish the real world was this nice about it~

Jerry: Thank you, nice to meet you too :)

Brittany: Thank you :)
And wow, hah. Maybe some dads are just like that?

And yeah. Though what I don't get is why my dad doesn't believe in it, despite the fact he went through training for becoming a psychiatrist too o.o;; Early diagnosis was pretty helpful too. It was kind of easy for my mom to tell when I was acting similar to/the same as some of her students :lol:

And alright. I just couldn't figure out anything else to say. I'm not very good with introducing myself, ever x.x

Inventor: Umm, alright, I'll try.

As I've said, I'm 16 years old, and I'm a girl. I don't have too many real-life friends, but I have a bit more online. I suck at trying to actually speak to people (I usually end up sounding stupid), so the internet makes it easier; I'm a ton more articulate online. I have a few phobias and quite a few OCD tendencies, and that combined with my poor speaking skills sort of push people away from me IRL. Online, my phobias and OCD don't come into play, and I am more articulative, so I tend to spend most of my time online talking to people instead of out with friends.

I really enjoy languages. Learning about them, learning about how they were in the past, the various parts of an actual language, dialects, you name it about a language and I'd love to read about it. So, most of my time is spent trying to learn them.

I'm not much of an artist, I'm really horrible at drawing, same with sculpting and things of the like. As for music, techno is nice for me. I also like listening to foreign music, no matter from where.

In school, I focus in languages. I'm in French 3 right now, and I'm going to finish all 6 levels that I can. In my senior year, I have room for doing German 1 and 2, so I might take those too. I'm pretty successful besides that in school, I'm in an IB (International Baccalaureate) program, which is pretty much consisting of AP classes with more work.

That's all I can really think of o.o;;

Richie: Thank you :)

Tim: Thanks :)

Gbollard: Thank you :3

Anubis: Thank you :)

Comet: Nice to meet you too, and thank you :3

Miss: Weird.
I just wonder why my dad doesn't believe in it, even though he's gone through psychiatric training o.O;;
Then again, he doesn't believe in my Hypoglycemia either and is a doctor :lol:
