Excuse me ma'am, mister! May I interrupt your BORING conversation. Helen and I have joined Aspies For Freedom. We saw your thread there, morning_after. It was excellent, on how aspies are relaxed and social in aspie support meetups.

Hi Kaleido! Being NT, I find Aspie For Freedom intimidating because of intellectual slant.

Do you know any of the London aspies? My daughter Smelena met some of them in January.

For those of you who are used to living in an aspie type household. I have a secret to share- a household of aspies is exhausting. Two boys have to share stragegies for hours when they are playing Age of Empires, and Ubby3 has to report to me every so often about the latest development. Youngest Liam has long monologues too and HAS to go to the beach NOW!

Helen is changing to aspie before my eyes. SHe has a perseveration at the moment - making alternate movies for U tube to reply to a certain group - a powerful lobby group that SPEAKS for others. Or she is in frenetic activity riding bikes with the boys, rowing with the boys, swimming with the boys .

I have 3 sons but have gained a daughter this holiday .... my mother! Can't she just entertain herself??

This is my first attempt at using Windows MovieMaker .... a bit of Autism Advocacy:

I'm not proud or anything but have you seen this yet?

You are all surfacing but I must go to bed,

Yea She still talks about meeting you. Lau was the other member. If she had to pay $10 000 she would send her boys to any school that Lau was at .... (she says :D )

I lurked at AFF for a while - I think it was a couple years back, but the past and I are mere nodding acquaintances. At the time, at least, the tone was a tad strident for me (made the worst NT-bashers around here seem calm and reasonable!). Have they settled down over there? Might give 'em another shot, if so.

Not sure since I only rarely lurked there last year so no idea what they were like before. I will let you know since I am revisiting this week.

AFF have been around for a while. I used to bounce in there now and then, a couple of years (maybe longer?) ago. But there was too much drama, too much angst. I have enough of that IRL, so I kindof quit going there.

Do sometimes still pop in on the IRC channel there, though. Not often.
