Very well said. We need more people like you.

It reminds me of the quote (I have seen it in slightly various forms, attributed to both Edmund Burke and Thomas Paine) :

"The only thing required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing."

Don't ever change what you are doing.

Comments on the art of clueless doctoring, spork violence and kilts - also well covered. :)

I enjoyed your insights on doctors and your advice on navigating the pitfalls of the NT world. It is good to know that others have problems with the simple, everyday stuff NT's can't understand anyone having a problem with!

Glad to know I am not the only one.
I have had friendships, family relationships and romantic relationships destroyed over this issue many times.

That's the thing... NT society is ANYTHING but simple... That is the topic of my next part...

I am not in any way biased toward NT's and just envy the ease with which they do things I often find painfully difficult, while recognising that they also have their problems - but these comments seem more stereotypical to me than neurotypical. Also don't see that a list of diagnostics is so important as to be placed at the front of every book, I prefer to read about how others cope with and hopefully improve their lives than have bullet points thrown at my head. Spectrum it is, after all, and this forum rather proves what a wide one it is.

perhaps... it was written as a piece of satire. I have amended it to be clear that it is satire...

and no where did I state that the diagnostic criteria should be in every book. It was a comparative statement - what asperger's IS to what these books say it is
