I spent several seconds trying to make sense of this under the assumption that I was seeing the whole body from the front. That made it rather difficult to work out what was bouncing. I still solved the problem in under 10 seconds. Do I get a prize?

Sure, it's not first prize, but a prize none the less. You win the booby prize. Congratulations.

I don't know if I dare push the link. I haven't figured out how you saw me in the bunny suit on the last one. Actually my ears are much bigger than the suit, I thought it made me look better. I'm vain like that. Ok maybe eccentric. Need to keep up the image, which isn't hard.

I haven't figured out all the little tricks to this thing yet, but like it a lot. On Youtube they allow to to make your own area so to speak, for free. It shows what you're listening to, any comments you might have made, your favorite songs, etc. Not exactly a blog and wish it were a bit more along those lines. But..you can have a subscribers area. No one much cares what I'm doing when I'm there and that's fine and probably better for em not to know. One of the people on my subscribers list describes themselves as "Old Aspie geek". Like I said I haven't figured it all out, but thought wouldn't it be kind of neat for those of us here that haunt or occasionally visit or might like to keep up with what we aren't doing here in the Cafe, but are doing on Youtube. A YouTube cafe. I think the key to make such a thing work there would the friends area when you make your own page.

This is mine and if you're really curious you can figure out who "Old Aspie geek" is. And he used one of the songs I was going to use for a home movie for the Cafe, on page 1000. So'k, I sometimes can't play it enough. Probably just as well, I can't figure out how to make the sock puppet throw the cream pie yet.

http://www.youtube.com/user/postpaleo Usually you can figure out my what my current stim song is from the page.

Hello everyone,

I've been away a long while and i'm back now, checking things out. Anyone miss me or remember me? It has been a long time.

Hope you're all well. I'll just wait to see if there are any muffins left :)

I just posted a blog in my profile, it explains a bit. I dunno, there was something controversial going on that spooked me and I don't even remember now what it was!

I missed you all though, and it wasn't anything here in this group.

I'm going to have to go back and read up I guess to see what's all happened here :)

Well it looks to me, now that i've gone back and read, that I was reacting to the team from hell last year. I can tell you what happened. They had a meeting before I got there, and they were angry. Before I said anything the team looked at me as though they'd jump at me and kill me. All they had to do was what they agreed, to allow me to adapt Emily's assignments, if they weren't going to. Instead they talked about how I'm always doing it! The aide who had been so negative aslo had friends on the team, and apparently they sided with her that my child was a brat.

What the team write for the following years team was worse. It basically denied that she had any issue at all other than what other obnoxious teens her age go through. It was said in politically correct wording.

Thankfully this years team was much more receptive. We had a better year overall. Emily wrote a letter herself, explaining what she needed from them, and what they needed to allow herself to do. She explained that though it looks like she is more social, they are all tricks she has learned, and she has simply become good at the tricks. She advoicated for herself beautifully with a little help from me. The team at first looked skeptical but when they heard her words, they seemed to get that last years team missed some important details. All we needed was that doubt to open communication.

Next month we move into High School territory. More changes, new teachers, etc etc. But, Emily is using her voice more and her same aides, including Ms. Negativity will be with her. ok to be fair, Ms. Negativity has gotten a little better.

Aside from all that something happened elsewhere on the board that concerned me about Em's safety here. Em was unaware as she had lost interest. I've got alot more posts to read before my "old" memory is jogged.

Let's see what else has gone on. My husband took a new job as it looked like the job he'd had for 3 years was about to fall apart. His company was dying. Had a really great job for a year, but they kinda screwed him with poor equipment, not enough training, too little work. They fired him in Feb. I wrote to his boss detailing all that I knew had happened, long story short, the boss rehired him, sent a sales person to babysit him on every job after promising more support, training, etc. Fired again in May.

He's just now going to start training for another job, and my son will be too as a first job. We have a month to go before training is over and we know for sure this will be the job. It's been stressful.

Emily is wonderful. And before i say more, please read the blog in my profile I guess. I just redesigned my website as well: http://home.comcast.net/~somebunni/ if you'd like to see. There is an ASperger's page in the topic challenges.

I'm kinda just making sure every bill that can be paid is gettign paid, trying to keep it all organized, keep to what Emily needs, trying to help my son find his first job. Alot is going on. I just came across a link from another site to wrong planet, and decided to swing back on in and say hello, see how it was all going for everyone.

I have alot of reading to catch up, and it seems we've been displaced a while ago. I'm impatient and just want to know by osmosis somehow everything I missed!

Guess I need to spend some time reading :)
