I don't know if anyone here remembers me. I just wanted to drop in and say hi.

It feels like I haven't seen any of you in FOREVER.

And I am sorry about that. I know for most AS the hard part is interacting with other people in person. With me, it seems to be something of the reverse, as I do have a bit of a hard time on the net, so I do find it hard to get back in touch with things here.

Hartz, I a sorry to see that you have suffered such a loss. I honestly cannot lie and I want you to know that you ave my sympathies. I know I can't give you a hug, but I see someone suffering a loss and lind of wish I could.

I know I'm a little more confortable talking to people in IM, mainly because it is just the two of you as opposed to a entire community that sees it, and I don't know whether you are or not. I do want you to know, though, that I am willing to IM if you would prefer . Just PM me saying that you would like that.

If you don't that's ok. I just know that suffering a loss is a trying ordeal and wanted you to know that that is an option (besides, I think one of my IMs is listed on my profile page, and you might just have to edit it a little bit cause I tried to put my whole email address formy IM in there).

It's the way I type and I hate cutting my finger nails, but am obsessive at keeping them clean. I have finger nail cleaners strategically located all over the house where I tend to sit, move them on me and there is hell to pay. Those letters on the keyboard actually look engraved, or most like recessed. The trouble with that one is I'd have to hang it on the wall.

you just need to find some trendy art gallery, put a frame around the keyboard, and have it be a statement of your exestential angst. you could be the next great new artist discovery, if the monied set stumbles on your work....

You gots any moneys? I'm now open for business.

you gotsa get it hanged up in a gallery where the people-with-entirely-too-much-money go.

The local bingo hall?

Lurking, stimming, twitching and stuttering! I was gone to a soccer tournament in Edmonton (500 kms away) for almost a week. We stayed with my brother and his wife. I may stutter indefinitely. Here are some lovely pictures of me waiting for the paramedics to assess my son after he took the goalie's elbow to his neck. He was immobilized for 20 minutes while we waitied. This child is going to do me in yet!

Watching the Olympics . . the synchronized diving, and in the truly grand opening ceremony with the thousands of drums all in synchronization was mirror neurons in their awesome best.

I was thinking about having the Autie/Aspie games where we would be evaluated on who can focus the hardest, who can stim the longest and who, with out prompting from others can stop our selves in mid flight of explaining our favorite perseveration.

Laurie, I'm sorry you had to call the paramedics. I hope your son is ok.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you the one holding your hands behind your back? If so you really look like your avatar.

And Merle, I don't know about anyone else, but I would be game.

It most certainly is. Time sort of stands still. I didn't even hear the crowd applauding and yelling when he finally got up.

My son will need Physiotherapy on his neck for a few months. He is mostly fine, though.

 It must be a self-fulfilling avatar because I didn't look like it a year ago. And yes, that is me with my hands behind my back. (It's how I stand when I'm stressed out. I can wring my hands without anyone noticing.)

Well, at least it's not serious.

Well, if your avatar is self fullfilling, I don't want to go the same route. I would hate to wake up and look like bambi.

but what else is new with you? I've been gone for four months and did miss you a little.
