Hmmm, might have been a rat and not a raccoon, hard to say....

Hey, if anybody bought that herbal stuff with all the over-th-top "cures your cold" advertising, Airborne, the class action lawsuit is over and if you want a refund for your purchase price you can file for one. You have until the 15th of this month. There's a link to the online refund request page off this news story.

[Never used the stuff myself, but have co-workers who will be able to go out to a nice supper on what they'll be getting refunded.]

In San Diego, it's not that hard to tell the difference.

The rats are about the size of large cats, with spiky fur. The raccoons are sometimes mistaken for small cars in poor lighting.

My co workers sometimes call me "Ms Monk" because of all my quirks (like venitian blind hanging crooked or all fanned out too tight on one side, stuff like that.) I remember staring at the Airborne packages over and over and over again, finally deciding on the Zicam, which work GREAT!

I am glad I could chose the better product, however, it was the design of the marketing of the Airborne that I objected to most.

Spike is making his first feeble attempts at preparing for flight. He's flapping his wings mightily. He can't stand yet, but those little wings sure can go!

Ok, one last photo until he fledges. He knows his name and "beeps" back to it. He also holds "conversations" with us. The other finches are going to think he's a weirdo, for sure, when he goes back to the aviary!
