ok, all, i'll be signing off of WP now for a week or so. have to get up well before the sun in the morning so i'm going to do some last minute stuff and spend the rest of the evening listening to the christmas broadcasts on RTE with a small glass of red wine. will take lots of photos and be thinking of ya'll.

and see, look - it's true! dreams DO come true. and i've got two tickets on northwest airlines in my hand to prove it! i'm going to see the castles!

have a very, very happy christmas (or yule, or whatever you choose) and a safe new year's eve.

hi all - am surviving, freezing my backside off, have blisters on my feet, been lost more ways that most people can find to get lost, and am having a great time. cell phone kaput, they dont have the adaptors/chargers here for less than the phone is worth, so i havent' made contact with lau. if you talk to him, i've got his number that he left at the desk and will try as soon as we have a good phone to use. just finally found an internet cafe.

you would not believe how many people they can cram onto a sidewalk here... meltdown central for the unprepared, believe me there!

westminster catheral - when they crank up that pipe organ and the choir goes, it's truly, truly amazing.... been to british museum twice, still not seen it all. will send what photos i can when we get a camera that works (we've offended the battery gods).

seeya

ps that bit in harry potter where he's on the night bus and every time the bus starts and stops he gets slammed into the window or thrown around? that's not an exaggeration. kid doesnt' like the tube, so we're doing the buses. if we survive, we'll tell. 8O

Good to hear, all is going well Nan . I traveled a bit in my younger days but my tolerance for the unknown seems to be getting worse with age. I'm proud of you :D

Hello to all . It's book binding week for me as Inventor keeps sending me such fun supplies to work with. I've also gotten addicted to needle felting wool this past month...waiting for three pounds of Merino wool . I highly recommend needle felting for aspie flappers...(might as well make something while your stimming .) I made my bf a scarf for Christmas that says "Klaatu Barada Nikto"...spelled out in needle felted wool, it's a very long scarf .

Correction it is out now and it seems to be a dud....

It was the remake that I went to see. Hadn't seen the old version, so I had nothing to compare it to. The nanobot special effects were... how shall I say... believably good. :) I would gladly watch Keanu read a telephone directory, if it came to that. So I was okay with the movie, clunky dialogue and all.

Tonight we might go take in Quantum of Solace.

And yes, a happy 2009 to all youse Dino-Aspies and to anyone else reading.
