8O
I didn't know that either!
I had heard that a classy Miss Demeanor lives in Oregon, but not in Texas. No waaaaay in Texas! This is news to me. (I heard that's her official title, not her real name, sort of like "Miss Manners" - who I think is a Nazi zombie. Anyway, classy Miss Demeanor is much less annoying, and won't kill and eat you with the proper fork. Which will bring Miss Manners to the scene, who will.) Are we supposed to know Texas law now too?! 8O I tell ya - so much to keep up with nowadays. Its always something. I'm just now getting comfortable conversing in Sasquatch. Which may have been the biggest waste of time! I finally found a bigfoot on Skype in Alaska, we grunted back and forth briefly, a shot rang out and the line went dead. He had been frantically muttering something about para sailin'. Did you know that bigfeets para sail? I probably misunderstood, maybe I need more practice, I dunno. It sounded like he had a bat boy in his mouth or somethin'. 8O Maybe talking on the headset with a bat boy in his mouth brought Miss Manners and her fork! 8O Nazi Zombies! RUN!! !!

I know what was really going on...

Sean "Dr. Kromm" Punch, one of the line editors for Steve Jackson Games, was visiting the head offices that day. (He usually works out of his office in Toronto, Ontario, but every couple of years he visits the home office in person.) Now, one of Kromm's major interests is zombies, which is why he was selected as the editor for GURPS Horror - they make an appearance in almost every role-playing game he runs.

So I figure Steve Jackson was just using his contacts in the Illuminati to make Kromm feel more at home... :-)

Oh, Chuck, now that I've been steered toward the thread you mentioned, I do notice that neither of the apologists has made an appearance since you went and started discussing the biological problems with these people's plans.

I have been actively modding on WP now since last July. I have been periodically losing the 'response on Ex-Cafe' notification since they altered my account to see all the top secret info here on WP (gotta love it! I lose privileges to gain privilege!)
Before I modded I didn't rove a lot from the Cafe and I was 'tuned in' to our wavelength. Now that I am spotty at best to remember I am not getting the notifications sometimes I get here to read page and pages of stuff I can barely relate to, because my brain is boggled with all of those thousands of other threads and seemingly millions of other posts.

yeah, burnt out, and then some. I know it and I will soon take a break. It doesn't seem like anytime is a good time for it, but then, it is a volunteer post, after all. Then maybe I can come back to my beloved ExCafe.

Take all my energy you need m'dear! :P I've got energy to spare right now. :D
I believe they may be the type of persons (person?) who just like to argue, and I
don't enjoy that at all, unless its in the service of establishing and/or evaluating
one's belief system. I thought it was a serious discussion. As wacky as I am,
why I thought I could participate in a serious discussion - I don't know.
I'm obviously not qualified for serious undertakings.

Groundhog Day tomorrow, yeah, if he didn't get shot over the summer. But today is..... February 1: International [Insert holiday here] Day. I was working on it and got sidetracked with "stuff" earlier and I just had a purple duck emergency. So, I may have to put this International [Insert holiday here] Day, till later. Need to get the duck story on the news wires, because this could happen to YOU.

Well, I've finally worn myself out. Between working on a logo that finally is becoming fun, and writing, and hiking outside, and puttering around, I don't think I'll be able to witness the Super Bowl. Shucks! :P And I even know the names of the teams this year. Or one of them. The Steelers. So, I imagine its the Steelers against the Groundhogs, and I'm pullin' for the Groundhogs, seein's how its their day tomorry. And now its bedtime for Bonzo. :D

It's a common misconception that all ducks fly to Florida in the Fall of the year. Who can blame them? The price of the air fare is really up there, air traffic snares and security measures, I mean who can blame some for just sticking out the Winter. Recently I looked out my front window and saw one, purple, just taking in all of the traffic on the road, just coolin', ya know what I mean? Or maybe he was looking in my window, which I don't mind, because I'm about as rare as a purple duck. And I mean if you're a purple duck, that's got to be an automatic security watch breach at any airport and who needs that hassle? But, much to my aghast I glanced out of the window and didn't see him in his normal place of repose and I almost cried out (and maybe I did, but I didn't hear it) as I saw his disheveled body along the side of the road. Road kill? Stunned? Did I have to find my gun and put it out of it's misery, rush him to the vets if savable? I just didn't know. Now, I don't usually jay walk, but I didn't feel like walking a half of a mile to get to a corner, so I daringly jay walked, without one in my mouth mind you and I didn't even have to have someone hold my hand to do it, to cross the road, I'm so proud. Huge sigh of relief, I made it and he was dazed, uninjured and I carried him back to his normal place of rest and voyeurism, which I already said I didn't mind. I did NOT appreciate the stares from the neighbors as I did this. They're damned zombies, unfeeling things. How can anybody just stand by when a purple duck is, possibly wounded, on the side of the road? Maybe they just thought he was drunk, keeled over and figured he deserved it. I have no idea what they think. I just don't understand people, but I do purple ducks.

It's the best view change I've seen out my front window since that old green building use to be a Chevy sales room back in the 50's. At least they changed the cars once a year.

Okay, maybe it isn't a purple duck, but at least it isn't Barny. I'd have to kill it if it were.

(And if these pictures turn out as big as the preview, it's Photof*cket's fault. I edited it and reedited it multiple times and screw it.)

Awwwww.... I'm sorry to hear that. I will be sending positive thoughts your way. I do understand as I've been having a time with my fibromyalgia. I get angry when I fall asleep while knitting on a project.

Here's a piece of music that I hope might lift your spirits. I've found myself singing it off and on for the past 2 days. Enjoy!
