BUT I appreciate the comments. They help counter the hate mail I have gotten...

Hate mail, as hurtful and stupid and obnoxious as it is, I think you can take as a compliment, anyone who really changes things for the better in this world gets hate mail.

Wow, your series has more than doubled in size since I last read it. Serves me right for not reading it for a month.

This is way too appropriate.

I can't say how much this series helps. I am puking rainbows like the meme right now.

*wink* serves you right!

I am glad it helps... that is, after all, the point and it would suck if I was failing...

Also... Your signature made me smile and blush.

:P Sarcastic and sardonic humor in one post?

Credit where credit is due, and all that.

The only humor in that statement was the first part... the rest of it... was honest... it would suck if I was failing at my goal... and your signature touched me very deeply

No words is right, in those states you describe so well - you helped me nail my current phase which is the mixed bi-polar, couldn't understand why I was not getting the highs anymore, I could work like a demon in that state, at a price I was willing to pay. Now I have to take the slow route of tortoise, and I am not digging it.

BelleAmi: before declaration of a state, it is best to speak with your mental health care professional... If you are type 2 bipolar...

Rewind a little... moods... depression is 0. Mania is 9. Normal is a 5. Hyper mania is a 15... and then there is hypo mania sitting in a wave between 6 and 7... Often for bipolar individuals... 5 can be devastating... for a type 1 (mostly depressed) 5 feels absolutely amazing... because they have been at a 0 for so long, 5, the normal state can make someone feel overwhelmed and giddy... Meanwhile, coming from mania or a hypermanic state can feel soul crushing...

What you described (to my untrained ears) sounds a lot like hypomania... it often triggers many of the downsides of mania without any of the good aspects...

To put it in perspective... my mixed episodes... are when I have had my melt-downs... and when I had my psychotic break... there is an inherent instability where you feel like you are about to just fly apart... But if you suspect mixed bipolar issues, Please talk to a mental health care professional... Mood stabilizers are often needed.

I will try to find one I can trust! Have always had problems with the professionals - but thank you, Feralucce, good advice. Your own episodes sound devastating, take care.
