Oh! This is the first time I have ever heard of the F strength of tornadoes. Makes sense there would be levels of strength. I wonder what the F refers to. Force?

"The Fujita Scale (also known as the F-Scale) typically consists of six ... Scale has proven to be a reliable measurement of the strength of a tornado. ..."

Ahhh.... tornadoes. The main reason I want to hide whenever we have a thunderstorm here. There are small ones here at least once or twice in the summer but luckily none have actually hit the city. I can sympathize, Nan. And no way in Hell would you find me sitting in my car. Uh uh!

Just a quick question while I make dinner..... seeing as how I'm a little behind the times, I just recently started watching Battlestar Galactica. Not sure if anyone in the cafe watched it or not but I am wondering, now that Caprica is finally on..... should I watch all the BG episodes and movies BEFORE i watch Caprica or will it really matter. And yes, for now that the moment that is the most pressing question on my mind. :D Life is pretty good tonight.

Be back soon and take care, everyone. You are in my thoughts daily.

Caprica is actually designed so that you don't need to know anything at all about BSG, except maybe what "frak" means, and the names of a couple of the Colonies. The First Cylon War is still 18 years in the future - in fact, the premiere episode of Caprica helps explain why the rebellion happened, and why the Cylons have adopted a monotheistic religion (as opposed to the polytheistic faith more common to the Colonials).

So far, at least, you can watch both at once, and not be spoilered for anything in BSG. After tonight's airing of the second episode, I'll know more, of course...

Battlestar Gallactica, I hope to see it one day, it was my favourite as a kid
and I've seen a season of the newer ones, or was it half a season (which is not so new anymore now i guess, but since
I don't have television I have no idea)
Maybe I'll see them all when I'm old or so (or when they are very cheap on an occasion)

The southern counties of Pennsylvania are getting socked as well.....I'll have a few pics of my

In the UK we can appreciate what you're having to cope with.We had several weeks of temperatures down to minus 12 and snow on the ground every day. We won't be wishing for a White Christmas like that again !

Gorgeous, sunny day today. I spent part of it hacking away at the neighbor's hedge that wants to eat my yard.

My brother lives in Telford and drives a Geek Squad van. I wonder how he's doing. Unfortunately he never responds to emails and I'm too deaf to call him. I think I'll assume he's staying home and watching funny videos.

8O Oh my!! That is far more heart attack snow than we even experience. We have been having a phenomenon that we rarely ever see. We've had ice fog almost every day for 2 weeks. Something is definitely afoot with weather patterns. They just keep getting stranger and stranger.

So, after 3 months of social contact as the unofficial head of the menswear department at work, I am officially taking the steps to get back into the dayhome business. Itty bitty runny noses, tiny voices and handprints are FAR easier to deal with than adults who believe temper tantrums and treating other people with a total lack of respect is acceptable behaviour. I was told by my supervisor that they would like to groom me for management..... 8O NOT A CHANCE!! As incentive I went to the toy store and purchased a colourful bucket of blocks that sits on my table as a reminder and motivator. I can't remember who it was that said I would miss the little gaffers but if you remember who you are, I will graciously accept a friendly, "I told you so"......... One of these days I'll learn to listen to unbiased advice.
