Well, no more coffee and caffeinated tea for me. I have been officially diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. Had a scary time at an ER on Monday morning, and now have to take meds to keep my heart from acting up. :( One of the first things the doctor told me was that I can't have coffee or even regular green tea. I used to drink a pot of weak green tea every day. Does this cafe have herbal tea?

yes!, here, try some red roibos tea. lovely aroma & taste, no caffeine, and has antioxidants.
I inherited (thanks, dad!) a heart arrythmia that can get extremely freaky for me &/or a doc who listens to it, and I have to limit my caffeine to a tiny bit only.
My brain loves caffeine, my heart does not. :(

I've had roobios tea; very good! I'll bring my biggest mug next time. :)

Nan, I hope your daughter is all right.
Steeping some tea, putting soft instrumental music on.
Cooking ahead of time today - a bunch of dishes - for a Happy Thanksgiving in a couple days. We'll be hiking in the morning at our local state park in order to work up an appetite. Just me and the kid and the cats this year; nice and quiet.
What about you guys (those in the U.S. that is)?

If I feel well enough, my fiance and I plan to visit my sister in the neighboring city for Thanksgiving. She is having a potluck this year, since she hasn't been feeling well either. Should be interesting... :? :)

This thread should be stickied. I had a time, finding it! Well, Thanksgiving was alright. There was too much food, LOL. We stayed a few hours, and then came home.

Has anyone heard from Nan?

Rambling, but that's how it is today. My medication is keeping the fibrillation under control, and I have found that it only seems to act up a little at night when I am trying to sleep.

But we have been approved to buy the house! Now we are hoping to close before Christmas. Then we can get married. 8)

Congratulations, hartzofspace.
I was just going to dig in and try to find this thread because I guess I'm feeling extremely social today. I mean, for me anyway. (stopping by an actual cafe is out of the question)
wow! - a house and getting married and at Christmas: what a wonderful start to 2012. (Did the current owners fix the roof on the house you were talking about before?)
Hope the medication works and you have no more trouble with the ticker. Just a nice steady tick tock. :)

This is the same house that I mentioned before, mntn13. No they haven't fixed it, but they have signed a paper saying that it will be fixed within 30 days from closing on the sale of the house.

I have been symptom free for over a week. I have been able to decrease the medication, too. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks for replying hartzofspace. Great you feel good.

I'm aware that I don't fit in here. either. Nothing new, as I have never found any group that I fit into at all. I will still lurk once in a while.

Why do you say that you don't fit in here? Of course you do! The Cafe can get really quiet, then suddenly have a flurry of activity. Nothing personal; it is very Aspie-like! :)

Personally, I never seem to feel like it's the right time to enter a conversation. I always feel like I'd be interrupting a discussion between old friends. But that's my issue.

Believe me, you are not ever interrupting anything! Some of us have been posting in this particular forum for awhile. I used to get miffed and stay away, because I felt like people were ignoring me. But then I would come back. I think this is something that happens to lots of people; I belong to another forum about health issues. New people would join, post a few times, and then feel bad because they could tell that some people on there were old timers. They would leave. What they weren't seeing, was that those old timers were once new and shy, too. But they kept coming back and posting and now were friends. :)
