A very Happy New Year to everyone!

And yes, Nan, we survived another year and here's hoping 2012 is better than the craptastic year that was 2011!

For myself, 2011 was wonderful, because I got engaged in it. I guess it's different for everyone! 8)

My 2010 was great year. Funny how it seems to cycle for each of us. Congratulations on your engagement!

Greetings all, newbie to the cafe here. Dx about 2 years ago (AS/HFA via Depression), and it has been enlightening reading posts here and elsewhere, sorting and sifting my behavioral quirks from my manifestations of the spectrum. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I will echo Hartz. :D

Welcome Kirk.

Here's a bit of silliness to liven up the Cafe:

Image

It seems rather dismal here at times. Must fix that! 8)

Oh, no! Don Ho!
Do geese see god

This song consists entirely of palindromes (to me, that's an amazing feat)

BOB

I, man, am regal a German am I
Never odd or even
If I had a hi-fi
Madam, I'm Adam
Too hot to hoot
No lemons, no melon
Too bad I hid a boot
Lisa Bonet ate no basil
Warsaw was raw
Was it a car or a cat I saw?

Rise to vote, sir
Do geese see God?
"Do nine men interpret?" "Nine men," I nod
Rats live on no evil star
Won't lovers revolt now?
Race fast, safe car
Pa's a sap
Ma is as selfless as I am
May a moody baby doom a yam?

Ah Satan sees Natasha
No devil lived on
Lonely Tylenol
Not a banana baton
No "x" in "Nixon"
O, stone, be not so
O Geronimo, no minor ego
"Naomi", I moan
"A Toyota's a Toyota"
A dog, a panic in a pagoda

Oh, no! Don Ho!
Nurse, I spy gypsies -- run!
Senile felines
Now I see bees I won
UFO tofu
We panic in a pew
Oozy rat in a sanitary zoo
God! A red nugget! A fat egg under a dog!
Go hang a salami, I'm a lasagna hog

And just to hang the hat on it, "Bob", itself a palindrome, is sung entirely in a quite creditable Bob Dylan impression... :)

Thanks Deacon. And so true. I forgot to mention that. I'm picturing the hat Dylan wore in the Rolling Thunder tour.

I came in peace.

That was an intentionally cruel thing to do, Richie. Did you intend to chase me away, humiliate me? I have never spoken an unkind word about you, nor even had an unkind thought about you.

I can see that your head has been twisted and fed
by worthless foam from the mouth

It's really quite ironic. No need to say anything more. It would be a waste of my breath.
So be it

cosmiccat, are you sure that Richie's post was directed at you? He posted it the day after your last entry. I've seen that poster at work. Please don't be upset!
