Maybe? It depends on your perspective. I consider myself a Christian Gnostic. The unreligious would consider me Christian, but most Christians tend to consider gnostic thought as hertical/wrong. So it depends who is asking.

Yup... Greek Orthodox here, and new to WP as well.

The main new-calendar church? or one of the old-calendar churches? I lived in a old-calendar Greek Orthodox monastery for awhile. I do miss the silence.

its a pretty important debate

I don't think its that important of a debate. It's been going on since the beginning of time, it'll continue on way beyond our deaths, the answer is not going to be resolved here on WP, and it's not going to change anyone's mind on either side of the debate. So at the end of the day its accomplished nothing. That makes it pretty unimportant.

I'm a christian since two years, but I must admit (which I also admitted to Jesus) that I have quite a lot of doubts so my faith isn't as big as I would like it to be.

Yes, an important point. Even threads with titles like "So who is a Christian on here?" end up being heated debates on whether Christianity and creationism are valid.

its a pretty important debate *shrugs*

but welcome to wp from an accepting athiest.

My issue is not with the act of debating but with largely unrelated topics with some mention of a particular belief being hijacked in order to debate the validity of faith.

Cool to see so many Christians. I'm one of the bunch, and just joined here after reading up on AS and being stunned at how amazingly it fit me and explained things :)

Yo!

johanstruijk82: Doubts actually mean you have joined with all the greatest Christians through the ages and that you have to live more by faith than those who never struggle with faith. Me, I feel faith maybe once or twice a decade.

Well...IDK if I really count as an Aspie... I lived self-dx'd for 2 years, but 2 professionals told me I didn't have it, so that's still a matter of question.

Anyhow... I'm a Christian, but a theistic evolutionist. Meaning I don't interpret the Bible literally and believe that evolution and creationism match up when examined closely and open-mindedly.

I am Christian, God is what has kept me going this long, without him I am nothing, and I just rescently found out that I may be an Aspie, waiting to be diagnosed.

Just nitpicking here, remember that creationist is not analogous to Christian; you can be a Christian and accept evolution (like me).

I am an Aspie, and Jesus is my strength and salvation. ;-)
