Yes. I have found one, but as I said, making this a done deal would be rude to everyone, so why stop making new friends and keeping this thread in the back of our minds if this is a good idea?

I just started to post to Wrongplanet more often, but since the site has changed, I don't know who many of you are.

Where are some of your introductory threads?

I ticked that I was well rounded, not because I am fat and not because of the social definition of well rounded, which basically means sharing the same topics of interests, the same flightly, light-weight social concerns as others and a willingness to let others dominate the conversation for social interaction, rather than imparting useful and relevant information.

Of course, my idea of 'well-rounded' is different, so here are some of my ideas of what constitutes well rounded:

  • Self-reliant
Able to keep myself from getting bored for long periods of time, even when I am on my own and not surrounded by gad-flies and chatterboxes.
  • Varied Interests
  • Computers, which includes using the internet, running my own server at home with a web log on it, programming, web design, etc
  • Watching my Sci-Fi DVD's
  • Listening to Music or the Radio
  • Digital Photography (could come under computers, but photography is a separate interest)
  • Researching stuff on the Internet and finding out new things
  • Not dependent on other people's approval for self-validation

Those are enough to be getting on with for the moment and at least they show I am well-rounded.

That's exactly what I mean!

The Wheels on my Bus are well-rounded, but I'm not sure about myself.

That's very funny, but do any of you realize that my secret has been given away?

No, I want to get to know all of you newer people on this site better, so that's why I made this thread.

Any of you are welcome to contact me personally if you would like to get to know me better.

I am perfectly content with my hangups, annoying though they are. they provide me with as much entertainment as heartbreak sometimes. I can't step on lines, cracks, any breaks in patterns on the floor, and counting items in a room makes me feel that I have some small modicum of control of my surroundings. I mess up and solve a rubik's cube 48 times a day, and on bad days my face contorts and twitches all day long. people look and stare, but what the hell. everything I do in life is contrrolled by the urge to group things in fours. always the pattern of four. here's an example of my breathing. o..o .oo. .oo. o..o .o.o o.o. o.o. .o.o oo.. ..oo ..oo oo.. .... oooo oooo .... lather, rinse, repeat. I hate crowds, improper use of the english language, and not knowing how many holes are on the computer's monitor speakers. everything must be in balance. If I step on a line or something like that, I have to step on a line the same way, bisecting the same portion of my foot with the other foot to balance things out. I have been plagued by certain phrases rolling over and over in my mind, saying them out loud, not knowing what they mean or why they are so important. ok, maybe not so content.

I bet you're one who didn't realize my secret was given away.

Please put everything I've said in this thread in the back of your mind.
