My last cat, my bets friend ever, was Siamese. Ive told the stories of her on here enough, but she died 10 years ago and im only now getting round to getting another. On the short list are: Siamese, Burmese, Oriental, or a Bengal (after i saw a forum member on here with one!)

All of them are gorgeous cats. You have good taste.

My cat is a mixed breed Siamese. I suspect that she is part Japanese bobtail, another great breed. She constantly needs attention, but she is so sweet. She usually is not affectionate because she just wants to play all the time, but when she gets tired of playing, she gets very affectionate.

Is your cat your avatar? If so, she is beautiful.

Yes, she is, and she says thank you.

I had never heard of them being good fits for Aspie's, but that is neat. We have two and my son is very attached to them, the younger one in particular.

They certainly are vocal! When my youngest was first born, our male lilac point learned to imitate the baby perfectly. It was eerie!

What's even funnier is when they learn the baby crying is a bad thing, so they run and check on the baby when it cries before you do. My mother in-law had a cat that would be looking in the crib when my husband was a baby while she was still getting up. If my husband wasn't hungry, the sight of the cat calmed him down. Maybe that's part of the reason he has such an attachment to the Siamese breed.
