Born and raised there until we moved to USA at age 11. I am of mixed ethnic background. My mother is Korean, my father Scot-Irish-German. Is this at all important finding Asian Aspies. I will tell you thatin Asia people with neurological disoders are treated horribly. They are social pariahs who are expected to "cure" themselves and contribute to society. Psychiatry and psychology are seen as pseudoscience. And practitioners are not well respected.

Hi... I'm just trying to connect with any fellow Aspies in the Asian region and yes it is important for me cos everyone else seems to be in US, Europe, Australia, NZ etc... I think you are just generalising abt how Asians treat others with neurological illness... on the whole I do agree disabilities do not get much attention here... but there are plenty kind souls out there who will go out of their way to assist ppl with disabilities...

of course not all, but some. you know the same old stories. they don't understand and they fear you.

I'm asian but not in Asia or a girl.

I'm Filipino. Illocano even. Was never really particular about my roots but I do like the food. It's not really pinakbet unless it's swimming in bagoong.
