So you're telling me that "aspergers is fake" sounds legit to you?
Maybe I am looking at it too literally but the OP never wrote that. You are seeing an implication that I just do not. I do believe Aspies have always been around and are a sub catagory of the human race which makes us just as normal as black people etc. The blog goes into a thoughtful analysis of why we are treated as not normal despite the authors belief that we are.

In addition to that point. Lot of NTs don't know what ASD is nor may not know we have one. So the way they treat us is a same to everyone else. What I believe, NTs described me their situation of meeting people in public have similar experiences as us. They feel anxious or fear of something, similar to rejections or being offended.
This is my experiences, but I am not sure other Aspies feels and sees a same. I am living at a large city and study/research at large and well known university. I am getting treated as same as other NTs and ability students and staff. So clearly, as being Aspie I may not feel I have some mental issues like severely autisitic or something.

There is a couple of Aspies groups here in Brisbane. I met both of them during the weekend. I asked them this similar question and have read my blog. They felt a same too.
I have a feeling about the mainstream media and awarness gone too far. Like women's rights gone to far for trying to be topless in public like men. I am not against anyone like those women, I still feel that mainstream media and society influences make us look badder.
