I personally have been trying to cut down on time online. Also conserves energy, too...

To be honest, I'm somewhat frightened of the prospect.
But I'm dedicated to my own cause.
The reason it scares me is because I have no social life at all outside of the internet.
Now I will have no human contact whatsoever, other than casual interactions at work, but for the most part, my workmates shun me, and I them.
Soon, the only one I will have to talk to is Jehovah God. He is a great support, and nothing can replace that, but it will be somewhat lonely for a few months while I work out my spirituality and make my efforts to return to my congregation.
The next three months will be the ultimate test.

Do you have close friends waiting for you to return to the congregation? I know you wouldn't be able to have contact with them now, but I hope you have some friends who will welcome you back with open arms, when the time comes.

The latter. I get it by thieving wireless,
otherwise I wouldn't have it. But it
really is too addictive for me to
handle.

You know, I once managed to stay off the internet for 13 years.

Yeah, it was before I even knew what the internet was, but still...

Indeed I do. That's why I'll be lonely for only three months or so. That's the time stipulated for recovery.

It must be more of a problem for men. For me, shopping is the biggest temptation.

This is great news! Including long lost friends in your future scenerio should help you even more. Hopefully, you're one day closer to your goal now. :D

There's nothing wrong with having a good hand shandy. Nothing at all... as long as it doesn't take over your life. Just like having a pint or watching films or anything. :)

If you're a Jehovah's Witness, like Lobber, there is. It gets you into BIG trouble!

Sounds more like controlling people to me and can only do more harm than good. Look out how that turned out with the Catholic church...

It's always scary to start something hard. Good wishes to you.
