@Nathan
I can only suggest having a friend stay after with you from now on if you feel that uncomfortable. You could also start carrying around noise-cancelling headphones (or ear plugs) if you can afford them.
That's obnoxious even if the school is empty. *digression end*
Or a large notepad if you really want them to turn it down.

@Desmil I'm thinking of bringing a notepad that I use to draw pictures to school next year which could also be used to write things when I'm a situation like that time.

@ Nathan
You definitely should. It could be the difference between a breakdown and successfully communicating.

I was diagnosed when I was 9 but I was only told about it when I was 14.

That's crummy. It helps more when you're younger but you must have been doing well and they weren't aware. All that matters now is that you know yoir limits. Does that mean that you're not interested in attending a concert or parties?

I never go to concerts anymore and I'm careful about which parties I go to and I make sure there won't be a lot of people.

I've only ever been to one but I didn't feel worse for wear because I went with a friend.

If I go to a party it's always with one of my three friends although they usually know more people at the party which can lead to them hanging out with their other friends and then I have to find someone to talk to or something to do.

It's not considered "socially acceptable" by some parties but that's why I bring at least two books if not something to draw in. I also tend to read on my phone for hours or listen to music. If you want to try socializing, people tend to be welcoming if they have the same interests. To be honest, I don't like parties but my ethnic group throws a lot so I've gotten used to the culture by this point.

In the past I've brought a small drawing pad that I can put in my pocket and then if I get board I'll just take it out and draw random things like complex shapes.

You can continuing doing that. You don't have to go. Just tips for in the case you find yourself at one with prior warning.
I was diagnosed about a month ago. I found out because I wanted counseling for public speaking.

When you were diagnosed did it make you make you think differently about your life because when I found for the first two months I didn't think about it too much but then I couldn't stop thinking about it for a couple days?

Around the site you'll find a lot of people who took the diagnosis with relief. Mine was originally disbelief because I come from a background that is skeptical of mental illness and instead calls it a curse or the devil's work. It was all I could think of for two days. Then, I forgot until right before my next session. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with having the condition. It just means we figure out our strengths and weaknesses earlier than the average person does. I guess right about now, I'm trying to build a solid network of accepting people at school because I start college in less than a month. I have a safe place reserved and I still have to make actual uni friends near my dorm. How do you feel about your diagnosis now?

I'm now more glad of my diagnoses because it comes in handy in school when something is bugging me and I have a real reason behind the annoyance or hurting of my senses. When I found out about my diagnoses I was kind of angry because the school system waited around 6 years to tell me but I probably wouldn't have understood what having Aspergers was when I was 9.
