There is a lot of discussion on this board about whether autism is intrinsic to a person. What are symptoms and what are who you are. It's a sticky wicket.

Well, CBT can be helpful to learn to mimic neurotypical interaction. As far as medications go, Risperidone or Seroquel work great for black and white thinking and improving Theory of Mind, for me anyway. I also suggest gabapentin which helps with coordination and fine motor control. Forget about time management and tidiness ... it's not going to happen.
Seems like you have a good feeling toward your husband; I would suggest you stick around, there's lots of other people here than me.
