As for me, I´m an atheist buddhist. As buddhism basically says nothing about the origin of the universe or the existence of a creator god or a creating force, so buddhists have different opinions on it. Mine is that of atheism.

As a good buddhist :P I don´t take anything for granted without close examination, especially when it comes to buddhism. Anything buddha said, or has said, is met by me with initial skepticism (which is what he said anyone should do: ´don´t believe it because I said so, examine it and if you don´t believe it, leave it for what it is´). Some things I reject, some things I will put aside and look at later.

I don´t believe in a soul, I do believe in the mind, especially as the forerunner of all things. I also think that the physical make up of the body (the brain, hormones etc) influence how we think. As such I keep in mind that my thoughts are always subjective and should also be closely examined.

I try to be happy. My goal when my time has come is to die with a smile on my face in the arms of a loved one.
