I find this site both humbling and has an equalizing effect,as whatever our abilities or difficulties, this site has us meet on the same level if that makes sense? And it is good.

For example, some of you on this site are amazing intelectuals and may have initially joined after one thing led to another which made you question things where you decided to go for an assessment and were found to be on the spectrum... So you joined to make sense of the assessment results... Where you may not have been struggling in any way...

And at the other end of the spectrum there are those who are strugling on a daily basis with all sorts of difficulties.

And what came to me is that this site is a great equalizer. Where (If we can) we offer each other advice and just enjoy a chat or we can ask questions...

This site provides the level playing field.... And it is amazing! Why? Because I would have never connected with such a group of tallented and genuine people (And you are all tallented whatever your IQ levels are. I have seen more common sense in a person in here who claims to have a low IQ, then I have seen through many others in the outside world who think of themselves as superior).

And another really special thing that I have noticed about this site. We can open up and not feel ashamed. I mean... If we tried to open up in the real world out there, unless we were fortunate to find just the right person to open up to, we would end up in trouble. Yet in here, we have these freedoms (If we do overstep the mark the moderators can have a word and sort out our mistakes). So it means there is not the fear attached to opening up that there can be in the outside world, and I find this liberating.

Yes, we do need to be respectful and not take things to the extremes...

This site is such a blessing. :)

Thumbs up!
