Hi everybody. I just joined but I first heard about this forum about a year ago when I first received my diagnosis.

I am 37 years old, cis female, and I live in San Francisco with my partner and cat.

Hi and welcome malavois :)! Hope you enjoy it here.

I had a roadtrip planned that included staying in San Fransisco for a week back in April. It wasn’t meant to be this year, but hopefully will make it over eventually. I’ve lived in Connecticut and New York, and once drove from New York down to Florida. Five aquariums? I had two, one with mexican fighting fish and the other now has shebunkins. One of the things that drew me to my current home was that it has a large outdoor pond, so that’s got some koi in it, and I keep it protected from the herons that seem to like swooping down for dinner!

Good to have you with us.

Ah! That sounds like an awesome road trip. I’ve never done a cross-country drive but I have always wanted to.

I love fish. Your pond sounds so lovely and entertaining!

Thank you :)

Thanks, Pepe! I understand you to be joking but I can’t think of a response that wouldn’t seem like I’m being rude or sarcastic but I also do want to acknowledge your greeting! Hello thank you!

Ouch! 8O

I like being outside the box,
Even to the point of being outrageous.

In essence, I am being disrespectful towards NT social protocols.
I can behave "well" if I put my mind to it. ;)

Social standards be damned, I say. My original response would have been, “Great! To whom shall I make my tithing?”

Jokes aside, I’ve noticed you make good arguments. Are you a lawyer?

No, I am not a lawyer.
How insulting!

As I said,
I'm the smartest person on this webste. 8)

Aspies sometimes/usually have inbuilt "gifts".
Mine seems to be a natural proclivity towards logic/reasoning.
Critical thinking skills feathers/melds nicely into this natural tendency.

Hans Asperger coined the phrase "Little Professors" when he described HFA/Aspies.
We are often compared to Vulcans because of our more logical approach to our thinking.

So, even though my mother said I was "special",
I may not be *that* special, in the aspie pool. 8)

Q: What is black and tan and looks good on a lawyer?
A: A doberman pinscher.
