Indian, as in tandoori, curries, naan bread, and biryani. For me, that stuff is the food of the gods.

Yeah, Thai is great, too. Chicken with basil and pepper spices. Yum. Just make sure you have rice and lots of cold beverage to go with it.

Mexican... or whatever you want to call the Americanized version.

I love it... I could eat tacos everyday.

Dim Sum, baby!

I could eat those little chinese dumplings until I burst... and then eat more. My faves are har gow (shrimp) and Shui mai (pork).

My favourite food is Greek food, so I voted "European- other ethnic food". I especially like souvlaki, which is grilled meat and onions (and other vegetables) on a skewer. Usually it comes with rice and/or french fries, and tzatziki (a yoghurt sauce).

That reminds me of a Simpsons quote:

Moe--Bring us the finest food you got, stuffed with the second finest!
Waiter--Excellent, sir. Lobster stuffed with tacos.

That was a good Simpsons quote!

I liked when Homer was complaining about the discontinuation of the Ribwich. He was also lamenting the loss of the Philly Fudgesteak, Bacon Balls, and the Whatchamachicken.

Incidentally, in the southern and southwestern U.S., there is a fast food chain called Whataburger, and their breaded chicken sandwich is called the Whatachick'n. Whataburger is referenced on King of the Hill, and was featured in the movie 8 Seconds (with Luke Perry).

Why isn't American, non-fast-food listed?

This could include anything from barbecue to Philly Cheesesteaks to Chili's/TGI Friday's-style cuisine.

I suppose that's true. I just threw a list together. Next time I will give it more thought.

How about just adding an item at the end of the list that says "Other (specify)", or something similar?

Another idea: Is there a way of adding items to a list on a polling, even if you're not the polling's author? That would open the opportunity for people to react to what others add to the list, much as they do to threads, but in microcosm. Just a thought.

Is it true that Hardee's and Carl's Jr. are pretty much the same place?

Hmmm, would fish & chips be European Ethnic? It seems a comical notion somehow.

I don't think it would be ethnic. I think ethnic meant Italian, French, Spanish, etc.
