Why, Strapples, would you think that copy/pasting six lines, three about you, one apparently suggesting that new members must answer questions, one unnecessarily intrusive, and one irrelevant, would not be considered cross posting?

Self-professing yourself as "official" is misleading, and rather disturbing, to a new members.

Mmmm. The truth be known, we all might be a little disturbing to some of the new people here! :P

However, we are all what we are; and if there is a place for anyone here to be themselves, WrongPlanet is it. If we did not have our own quirks, issues, obsessions, and fears, (and did I mention straps?) we would probably feel more comfortable on a website called BlandPlanet.

But we do have those issues, or know someone who does. This is our place to be ourselves. Enjoy!

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

There is absolutely no objection to people having obsessions. It is when they forcibly and thoughtlessly impose those obsessions on the rest of the membership, continuously.

If your new next-door neighbour is obsessed by high volume industrial music, do you just say "Oh. That's fine. It's their obsession. They must be allowed to play it 24/7, at full volume, if they wish."

Basically, after two months of a continuously escalating bombardment by what is essentially spam, a steadily increasing number of members are asking for something to be done about it.

As I now have Strapples blocked, I see nothing he posts. That is fine for me, but others don't use the Mozilla products, so don't have the easy option of doing that.
