Wow masses of replies!

So are there many people from the UK here?

In reply to all the welcomes thank you very much! This is so cool - I've spent 20 years being an outsider in everything I do and now I find myself feeling like I belong! :-)

WurdBendur, thanks I didn't realise there was that similarity Daniel Jackson was my favorite character in Stargate! X-D

lelia, thank you very much, I ran another 5 miles today! healthier is good, i appreciate life so much more this way!

Some people back home randomly call me Danielle, I guess its a case of whatever floats really. I was called Daniel since its a boy name - did you know there are apparently 19 variations of calling somebody Daniel? Dan, Danal, Dane, Daneal, Danek, Danell, Dani, Danial, Daniele, Danil, Danilo, Danko, Dannel, Dannie, Danny, Dantrell, Danyal, Danyel and Deiniol. (Source: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/1/Daniel) - I usually go by Daniel though

Thank you Taly, if you wish to discuss anything I love learning. I guess one could say that is my obsession - I can't go a day without learning new things. It's the reason why I study maths, its the language which describes the Universe! At the minute I'm studying bubbles, algebraic structures, analysis (the art of understanding mathematics) and fluid dynamics with quite a bit of physics and computing on the side. I've also taken an interest in neurology; these articles are really interesting if you can access them: http://www.newscientist.com/channel/bei ... brain.html and http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg1 ... utism.html X-D

Well it's 1am here now! Gotta sleep for a 8am start (again!). Feel free to message me too if you want to chat 1-2-1 about anything I've said. I'm really rubbish at getting conversations going :-S

Daniel. ani medaberet be evrit ( I speak hebrew). Dan-i-El. Dan = judge, i (possessive, El the abbreviation of Elokim(G-d). In latin languages "elle" or "ella" can change the gender of some names. I believe we share common interests and areas ^^. But I have to improve my "engrish" in order to post on these forums. 8O I am a little bit afraid of the "ignorant id" label due to poor vocabullary and grammar I have exposed.

I understand you have to sleep. British Discipline \o>

Much tea for you(take it as a cumpliment)

What does 'ani medaberet be evrit' mean? Yey - I've not found anybody else who is interested in those sorts of things. Some people on my degree claim they do but they only appear to be out there to prove that they're better than everybody else.

My english grammer/vocabulary is awful and its my native language - write anyway! What is the "ignorant id"?

I slept well! And I may just have my first cup of tea in a week... :-P

Amazing how a diagnosis can be more of a relief than anything else, eh?

Indeed it was, I've always been the odd-ball. Now I understand why, I made a few modifications to my life too. I've started to get healthy - stopped smoking (quit for 3 months now woo!), started running and generally getting into shape! Actually in these past few months I've never been happier.... weird no?

No, I had the same feeling. Kudos on quitting smoking; I've heard how hard it is to quit.

I am pretty sure he means that he does not want to be identified as ignorant simply because his English is poor.

Thanks for your replies PhR33kY :)

Quitting smoking is difficult. I tried everything at first and the doctor gave me a drug called Zyban - it makes you want to stop smoking. The first week or so was a struggle but all is good.
