Hobbies and Interests: Playing and watching sports (soccer, basketball, tennis), running, surfing, guitar, drums, reading, tv and watching movies.

Why are you here? I have AS.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Diagnosed with PDD-NOS when I was 4, rediagnosed with AS when I was 10.

Favorite subjects: Math, Chemistry, Phys Ed.

Year/Grade: 9th

Favorite music: Doesn't matter, I usually listen to hip hop, but I play country/rock.

Books: Fifth Business, East of Eden

TV shows/Movies: The OC, House, CSI:New York. Defiance, Taken, The Godfather.

Instrument: Guitar, then drums. I also play piano, cello and bass guitar, but I don't like them as much.

Do you like sports? Yes. I play soccer, basketball and tennis.

Family: Mom, Dad, 3 brothers, ages 17, 13 and 7.

Clothing: I let my friends pick out my clothes, so mostly surfing brands, Abercrombie, Hollister and Lacoste.

How did you find this website? I was doing some research on Autism/aspergers (I'm doing a research paper on it) and one of the websites I was on mentioned this site.

Job: Not currently. This summer I'm going to coach kids soccer.

Plans for the future? Hopefully a soccer scholarship. I'm going to go to college to study industrial design and maybe international business.

Favorite subjects: In school : stuff about people, the little cultural details in history. Math when I get it, especially probability stuff. English ('cause I always got 10s lol), French, Greek, Greek culture, Physics and science (though I didn't take these subjects very long, so it was still relatively easy). Music.

Year/Grade: OUT OF HIGHSCHOOL WOOOHHH. Potential student.

Favorite music: I will always love: the Clash.

Instrument: Used to play electric guitar and started learning bass. Want to start again some day as I miss it.

Do you like sports? DANCE! wish I could break, but it's suicide on my knees so I'll stick to ballet/contemporary schtuff. Eh, I'd probably break my neck whilst breaking anyway. Though toprocking is just awesome.

Family: Yes.

Clothing: Lots of vintage 1940s/1950s dresses, very feminine. But I can just as well dress like a slob with guys jeans and a big fat hoodie.

Why are you here? I have no doubt that I have AS, and I am interested in learning more about other people's experiences, particularly those who are in my age group.

When were you diagnosed? Possibly at age 13 when after a battery of tests, my mother was told I was "not quite autistic" but "not quite normal". AS wasn't a diagnosis back then.

Favorite subjects: Psychology.

Why am I here?: I was Dx'ed (medical shorthand for diagnosed) with Asperger's syndrome in November of 1997. My mom listened to an episode of Quirks and Quarks on CBC Radio and thought that the description of Asperger's syndrome presented there sounded an awful lot like me.

Favourite subjects: Sociology, psychology (my major and minor in university, in that order)

Year/grade: received M. A. in sociology in November 1997.

Favorite music: Classic rock, classical, gospel.

Books: Many, principally non-fiction.

TV shows/movies: almost never attend movies, normal stereotypical male interests (sports, military history, documentaries, Jeopardy!, and so on.)
