Mine is because I can be very sociable... but there are times when I need to be alone.

Ironically whenever I am left on my own I get lonely, but whenever there are people around I feel trapped and I wish they'd all b-gger off and leave me alone!

It's contradictory and frustrating and my user name reflects this contradiction.

One-Winged Angel is the name of my favorite song and another name for Sephiroth.

been using mine for about 10 years now... mostly just came about as a result of a train of thought I'd had... "Well if all these idiots around me are 'normal', I guess that makes me... diseased?"
Rather liked it, in terms of applying my own label to myself instead of accepting labels given to me by others, and then I started turning into my own personal "brand" once I adopted the biohazard as my personal sign.
It was further reinforced by the fact that, despite my best efforts to remain invisible (kinda hard when you're 6-foot and bald) I seemed to influence people's way of thinking more than I'd intended. Thus, spreading the disease.

My username is the same one I use for Gamespot (used to include GameFAQs but I got banned due to a censor by-pass mix-up. Won't happen again!). KBABZ was picked because GameFAQs didn't accept symbols, taking out (:l3!.@[\]l{: ) as an option (It says BLANK in symbols), and it also converts the : and the ) into a smiley. The Dirty Dutchman, my nickname at school, wasn't viable due to the length. Looking back, I figured KBABZ, the old name for my story, would be perfect and easy to remember (and yet people always spell it krabz!). The title was an acronym for the five main characters at the time:

Koise
Booger
Aiko
Bob
Zoe

Neat, eh?

Pancho means hot dog in Spanish (at least in Argentina), and it's the nickname for the name Francisco.
Mmm, hot dogs :D

Well, I am a fan of the actual kebabs, y'know, the ones where you skewer various meat, vegetables, fruit and lollies on a stick and then roast them over a fire. Gotta love it!!

Thinking of changing my Avatar (again) to one of some kebabs... should I do it?

For those who have not seen my answer in another place......

When I was pregnant with my son who is an aspie, I craved meatballs. The night before he was born, I had meatballs. So I as a loving nickname, I call him Meatball. So that is why my username is Meatball's_Mom. Because I am.

Philostrate is a minor character in W. Shakespear's "A Midsummer Night Dream". I like the way it sounds and what in means, this is why I chose it.
