What is your first name? Ashley.

Age: 15.

Location: A Pennsylvanian suburb.

Hobbies and Interests: Art (drawing, painting, everything creative really), Writing (rarely), reading, wasting my time on the internet and youtube, other things...

Why are you here? Because I can relate to the things on this site and it really makes me feel less alone about AS. In a way, I guess.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): When I was really young, around 5 years old.

Favorite subjects: English, social studies (depends...), art.

Year/Grade: 10th grade.

Favorite music: Anything. I've been listening to Flobots and the White Stripes lately.

Books: Not sure, but I read regularly. I don't really have specific favorites, though I like sci-fi and a few other genres more than most.

TV shows/Movies: Not sure. Well, I only watch a few tv shows at a time and now I'm watching some Star Trek and the big bang theory whenever it's on.

Instrument: nope.

Do you like sports? no.

Family: My mom's okay; our relationship is definitely sort of loopy though. Other than that, I don't see family outside of my own home often.

Clothing: I love dressing 'nicely' or...just weirdly, sometimes. People I know at school and some of my friends began calling me 'teacher' because I dress like one some days( a well-dressed one, I guess. xD). I love wearing turtlenecks...mostly because the dress code allows them and they look so much nicer compared to collars.

How did you find this website? I don't remember. I've known about it for a long time, but only started posting just now.

Plans for the future? More art in my life, getting a job (xD), trying to learn to socialize better (even though I'm already doing pretty good.)

Why are you here?
It's been getting harder and harder for me to live satisfactorily with other people as I have gotten older, probably partially due to the fact that children are allowed and expected to have imaginations and live in their heads, but adults are not. What's charming in a child is weird in an adult, etc.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder):
Haven't been diagnosed, as I think I have a mild case. I identify more as "highly sensitive" than as an aspie, really.

Favorite subjects:
I already listed them, didn't I? You mean in school? Art. And lunch. And free reading time.

Year/Grade:
I was in art college, but had to quit due to stress. I'm learning to manage it and may be able to go back someday.

Favorite music:

I found the "You Might Be An Aspie If" thread on Google and was totally engrossed for several hours. I even made a list of all the traits I related to, up until I saw the entry someone made saying "You might be an aspie if you made a bulleted list of all the things you related to", then I just laughed at myself and joined the forum.

Job:
I have no regular job, but I have creative work that I assign myself constantly. I am trying to start an online business selling my art.

Plans for the future?
"I'm gonna get me a motor car, maybe a Jaguar, maybe a plane or a day of fame. Gonna be a millionaire, so can you take me there? Wanna be wild 'cause my life's so tame."
