One of my "obsessions" is time machines and theories of time and time-travel anomolies and paradoxes... that is so cool that you are working on a time machine! Have you seen the movie "Primer"? It's one of my all-time favorites and certainly one of the best time-machine movies ever made. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.

Your flute-playing was beautiful, en_una_isla! I love the piece of music you played; what piece is it specifically? I would like to find it for my iPod. :)

I play the flute as well. :) Very nice. I just got mine out yesterday for the first time in years. I can't get it to play a D at all. I guess I need to get it repaired. I thinkthe pads must be dried out from age.

Awww thanks, it's really not good at all . I think if I practice I'll improve somewhat before long.

It's "Eleven Sonatas for Flute and Figured Bass" by Handel.

Wendy, it's either the pad or the spring (?? the connecting part) on the key.

Can't you post a video where you talk to us? Or at least about asperger?
The girl in the video doesn't look like she has AS (she has a job, talks
to her manager, goes to beauty contests -- and your "self introduction"
is a reply to "I suck at Japanese" from somewhere early januari...

If you get on MSN messenger I can show you my Web camera.

I believe her. I can see a few Asperger-ish things in her videos. Besides... who are you to decide what Aspies "look like"? She is "pretty intense"ly cute though. I'll give you that. :)

i finally got it up!! ! this is a video of me talking about how fascinated i am with dreams... i am wearing orange and blue because this was filmed on the day of the superbowl. (go bears!) you may notice that my shirt says "chain gang" , that is a motorcycle club my mom belongs to, the bikes they ride are BMW F650's the only bmws that use chains...
btw, it took me so long because this was origanaly .MOV, which didn't work on youtube (it only works on QuickTime) sorry it took me so long!, here it is!
*blushes*

ive always been quite fascinated with dreams too, squier. i love having people tell me about their dreams. im told im quite good at deciphering them. i think part of that is jealousy - as i can rarely ever remember my own dreams, just snippets of them. they are always amazing when i am in them though. i wish i could record them.

btw, i like your quote (from your sig). i nabbed it for my myspace. hope you dont mind (i gave credit).

Yes, I actually saw "Primer" in a theater. I noticed it's been coming around on cable lately. (For the benefit of others: http://www.primermovie.com/) I'm not sure I followed the ultimate logical twists, but I won't comment further in order to avoid "spoilers". Anyway, it was an intriguing idea, and nicely executed. Liked it but didn't love it.

For the record, one of my very favorite movies of recent memory -- indie or otherwise -- was "Donnie Darko". I bet it would appeal to some of you out there. It's unusual in a way that might be of particular aspie interest

Not sure if you have an accent or not. Your voice sounds like that of an older man
though. I like it!

Never mind, I caught the explanation the 2nd time.

Do you have an accent? Slightly... you sound like someone I knew from Wisconsin.

Ahayes, to Australian ears, you have a very pleasant north american accent. Similar I think to someone I know from Alberta. :D To my ears, not all American accents are pleasant (I hate nasal NY type accents).

en_una_isla, you have a beautiful voice (and nice flute playing). There is a topic here somewhere about cleaning your room. You don't have to post there, I saw for my self. Its much tidier than my room

I would make a video, but I hate my voice and couldn't stand to hear a recording of it. (I have an unusual accent for an Aussie)

And here's another one I made in response to "ginnyisdacoolest" in her "Another Autism Vid":

Wow Melantha, ..........
I really appreciate your thoughts on AS and Dx etc. Its very similar to what I have been thinking.

I was nearly going to send this as a PM because it could be straying off topic and because what follows is a personal comment on you.

Did you grow up in Idaho? Is yours a typical Idaho accent? (I think you have a very nice voice, but I some vowel sounds, like au in autism, sound more like you could be from here rather from there) :?

I know a number of planeteers have accents that are unusual for their home State/Country, so was just wondering if you think yours is too.

PS - contrary to my earlier post that said I wouldn't, I have decided not to be so piss weak and will endeavour to make a video. I hope to show more of me than TM1 did of him
