Any comments? being part of the neurotypical world is so alienating, sometimes it's so exhausting having to pretend to be a certain way - i hope i can find people here who i empathise with and can be myself with.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Got fired about 2 years ago for being unstable and lacking social skills, took my head for a tune up and got an aspie diagnosis

Favorite subjects: Science (evolutionary biology, genetics, applied mathc, geometry, religion - but i'm an atheist)

Favorite music: METAL!! ! \m/

Books: been reading a lot of autism stuff lately

Instrument: Ibanez SRX bass guitar but i don't play often

Do you like sports?: hell no!

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Self-diagnosed over last few months

Favorite subjects: Science

Year/Grade: University diploma (HND) in Software Engineering, which is like half a degree I guess

Favorite music: The good stuff, not bound by genre, though probably more Rock

Books: I have shelves full of half-read or unread books. Prefer science books.

TV shows/Movies: most like sci-fi and fantasy, or scientific documentaries, also love intelligent comedy

Instrument: Have dabbled but don't play.

Do you like sports? No.

What is your first name? Dan

Age: 14

Location: Carlisle

Hobbies and Interests: Computing (Trying to learn C#, but two books I have ordered on the language have twice failed to come), Gaming, British Etiquette, Three Kingdoms Period of Chinese History, Anything and everything "Gentlemanly" (Including the obscure Martial Art: Bartitsu), Academics and pretty much anything else that piques my interest.

Why are you here? I seek someone I can truly relate to and, possibly, other Aspies in my area.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Approx. 10 - I can't remember the exact age, but I know that it was about 4 years ago purely due to the fact that I was in Year 6 when diagnosed. I am now in Year 10.

Favorite subjects: Everything Logical. Preferably ICT and Business Studies, but I am currently getting straight A's and enjoying in all of my GCSEs (mostly because they have no "hands-on" subjects. No Tech, No Art etc.)

Year/Grade: Year 10

Favorite music: Rock, Pop etc. This can range from the completely normal to those absolutely insane songs (for those who don't know what I'm talking about, listen to Love Sensation by a band called 911).

Books: I plan to read more books but, at the moment, I'd need to nominate the only books I have read fully. The Three Kingdoms novels.

TV shows/Movies: I don't watch TV very often (mostly just the computer), but if I had to choose I'd say The Simpsons, Futurama, The Emperors New School, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent etc. As for Movies: Austin Powers, Love Guru, Kung Fu Hustle, and pretty much all films that include Martial Arts or The Three Kingdoms in.

Instrument: I don't play an instrument, but if I had to choose I'd say Flute. Small yet Elegant.

Do you like sports? No. Infact, I was pulled out of PE at school under "Special Needs" reasons after being constantly teased due to it. If I had to choose a sport, it'd probably be Hockey - yet I do plan to exercise Cardio to get more of a thin, slender look than a muscular look.

Family: Mother, Father, Brother and Dog. I have a Half-Sister and Half-Brother-in-law but they don't live with us. Other than them, there's the various uncles, aunts, cousins etc.

Clothing: "Normal", I'd say. My parents mostly make the final decision. If it were my choice, I'd choose something with a heavy emphasis on Blue or something "preppy" - as I have quite recently became rather interested in this "preppy" subculture.

Plans for the future? To learn a computer language and become a game designer, yet I feel I have the potential to do something more. However, I do not yet know what that "something more" would be.

Why are you here? I am a friend and daughter of people who have Asperger's and support provider for high school students on the spectrum.

Year/Grade: In my 2nd year of studies for Special Education Degree

Favorite music: I enjoy a little of everything from rock, metal, and dance, to classical and broadway

Books: The Color Purple, To Kill a Mockingbird, Diana Gabaldon, Jasper Fforde, Historical fiction, thrillers, biographies...pretty much anything!

TV shows/Movies: no real favorites, I watch a lot of History Channel and Discovery Channel

Family: Husband, two step-daughters (13 and 24), a step-son (17) and son (15). Also have a cat and two degu's.

Clothing: I like comfy, casual clothing. I have fibromyalgia, so it has to be SOFT!
