I currently live with my parents (mother and father) and my younger sister. Two dogs and a cat if you count pets.
Clothing:
I typically wear whatever looks good on me and is comfortable. In the summer I usually wear a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals; when the weather gets colder I wear jeans with thermal knit tops, jackets, or hoodies.

Plans for the future?
After graduating high school I plan on attending community college for two years and then transfer to a university. During or after university I'd like to go backpacking across Western Europe with at least one friend. After completing my post-secondary education I'd like to live in an apartment in a big city with at least one roommate.

Favorite music: I like a wide variety of things, but mostly it's rock and related music. Mostly into The Doors, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, OK Go and U2. Also like old-school country (Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens), alternative country, some blues and R&B, and most rap/hip-hop produced before '94 (I'm more of an old school person...Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC, Public Enemy)
Books: Bridge to Terabithia, Poet in Exile, The Book of Nightmares, American Night, and a long list of others.
TV shows/Movies: Man on the Moon, Spaceballs, The Producers (old and new version), RENT, and anything with Johnny Depp in it
Instrument: My voice. I am a poet.
Do you like sports? Whatever. I live in a town of crazy college football fans. Give me swimming, track and field, gymnastics, and ice skating anytime.

Why are you here? I have Asperger's syndrome. Sort of a familiar response, eh?
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was 22. My original diagnosis was bipolar disorder, which I'm pretty sure I don't have. I took medication taht I didn't need for quite a while.
Favorite subjects: art, history, art history
Year/Grade: First year graduate student
Favorite music: I love the music of the 1980s, and most everything before.
Books: "The Devil's Dictionary," "Candide," "The Tragedy of Puddnhead Wilson," "A Confederacy of Dunces," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," numerous art history texts
TV shows/Movies: I don't really watch much. I love older films and war movies, for some reason.
Instrument: Music has always been a hobby I only wish I could have.
Do you like sports? To watch, yes- especially baseball. I'm not too much of an athlete.
Family: A wonderful one.
Clothing: I wear a lot of black, mainly because it goes well with my coloring and it matches everything.

Why are you here?
I am almost positive I have Asperger's, but I've never been tested. One of my friends who is going into disability law recommended this site.

Er, for school? GENETICS, most any biology, creative writing, ancient history, music, calculus, inorganic chemistry, exercise and sport studies.

Played a lot when I was little, up through high school; my favorite was lacrosse. My real sport (which, as I said before, is a way of life) is Tae Kwon Do. I'm a 2nd-degree black belt.
Family:
A 9-year-old brother, a 15-year-old sister, 2 cats, 2 parents.
Clothing:
I wear a lot of black. Jeans (black or blue) and T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts or sweaters; I don't like shorts and I rarely wear capris. I own many black hoodies. My colors other than black tend to be red, purple, green, or blue; I'm not into bright colors.

Hobbies and Interests: science, genetics, human evolution, linguistics, history, sci-fi/fantasy (but it's so hard to find good authors), current events, dog behavior (if you'd had my dogs... ), human pre-history, personality/psychology, and whatever else catches my interests.
Why are you here? I love it here! Get more understanding of myself. Try to figure out ways to make my life work better. It's fascinating how things I never would have thought related to AS pop up here (youthful appearance!).
When were you diagnosed? Not diagnosed (don't see the point/probably sub-clinical), but I first thought I had AS when I was 18 and first heard about it, but my dad said no way, I'm normal, so I didn't pursue it. A year ago he brought it up again, said he hadn't wanted me to be 'labeled' so young (@18 ), but there's clearly "something" wrong with me, and AS sounds about right. He's a clinical social worker, not a psychiatrist, but he knows NT from not NT.
Favorite subjects: NOT gym/PE, NOT English, but I loved learning, so the rest was cool
Favorite music: I like all kinds of things, but mostly 80s/90s rock
Books: oh god, so many, Robin McKinley is my favorite, but I have hundreds
TV shows/Movies: Criminal Minds, In Plain Sight, the Daily Show, ST:TNG, almost anything by Spielberg or with Tom Hanks, etc...
Instrument: the only way I could take lessons was to then be in a rehearsal/concert/performance, and that soooo wasn't going to happen

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Never diagnosed. Was told by a teacher in high school (age 17)that I have the same condition as her brilliant son who has AS.
Favorite subjects: chemistry (which most people hate), parts of biology, English lit.
