What is your first name? Lauren

Age: 17

Location: North Carolina

Hobbies and Interests: Playing with any sort of animal or insect, listening to my mp3 player, eating (I have binge-eating disorder and wish I could everything in sight...), sleeping (nothing better than being alone and snuggling up to your pillow), laughing so hard my stomach hurts (the wildest things humor me so this doesn't really happen a lot, but when it does, omg feels so good lol), roller coasters (recently just got over a fear of them and now I love the rush!), reading cheap gossip magazines (not really any of the stupid crap in there, I just like reading interesting things and I like to check out how the stars look and how I compare), masturbating (yeah yeah I know but I sometimes think I'm a porn star...I wish I could try to get with a girl), getting dressed up (sometimes its frustrating but its great when I'm a certain size), hugs (I give a funny "seal pat" but I really like being mushed together in a hug), 75 degree weather (I'm most comfortable at that temperature, makes me want to go outside), money (oh only if it were infinite, I would buy lots of food and other things lol), bubble baths (I feel really sensual then), TV (I used to not watch it but now I've got a couple favorite shows), and I'm sure there's lots more but I'm moving on to the next question lol.

Why are you here? Well I wasn't officially diagnosed but my mom and I pretty much know I am an Aspie. I love the name BTW lol. Just wanting to share who I am with people who get where I am coming from.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): By my mom, a few weeks ago.

Favorite subjects: I wish I was good in everything but I really like and do well in ENG and SS

Year/Grade: Junior in high school

Favorite music: Wow...wish I could choose. I go in phases of everything

Books: Wish I read more, I guess I'll have to go with the Twilight Saga

TV shows/Movies: Millionaire Matchmaker, Platinum Weddings, The Hills, movies are tough since I can never seem to remember any of them...haha.

Instrument: I played violin for a few years...then it got hard, but I wasn't bad. I really have been inspired by a lot of artists lately and want to learn how to play guitar. I guess I'll try in college

Do you like sports? Never was really good at any of them but I have tried all of them. Honestly, I like the tail-gating best haha. Once again...eating is one of my favorite things to do.

Family: Mom who is all about helping me get "better" with the eating disorder. Dad who also is an Aspie. A half-brother who lives in another state. None of my family trusts me because I take their food, money, giftcards....it sucks being baby sat all the time. I love food and I crave it all the time but they don't seem to understand that (how pathetic huh?). They are actually really happy about the Aspie thing....they think it makes me smart. (Which, I used to be until about 7th grade. I don't think I'll ever be the same again.)

Clothing: I like rock n' roll BA chick clothing, I also like hippie stuff, sometimes I just feel like wearing big sweats and a blanket though. Would love to try to dress like Mary Kate and Ashley...their style rocks. I like harajuku stuff but I've never tried it and I don't think I would attract many guys lol.

How did you find this website? Google is the ish

Job: I actually worked at HOOTERS and a place called BIKINIS. Classy right? Let me tell you though, those places were fun to work and I got free drinks and food :) Also, I once got a $100 tip!!

Plans for the future? College...med school...neonatologist. Hopefully I can venture down a few paths that I've always wanted to do....stripping (seriously! hahaha. Always just wanted to see what it was like...), playing guitar (maybe finding a band and make it big), having a new identity, working at Cinnabon!!

Any comments? Yeah I do have some comments! I'm really not shy but I have never had a close "friend". Even though I have a binge eating problem...I'm not obese. I'm 5'8" and 125 lbs. But thanks to Mom's strictness and complete control, I weigh tons less than what I would've normally weighed. Any how, I have more things to share but not now. GTG!!

hello jenny :) you have good taste in music. showtunes are the cream of the crop of music. all the mental and emotional effort is put into these tunes. they are the musical backbone of broadway musicals and carry the lions' share of the emotional weight. throughout the history of recorded/broadcast music, showtunes represented the bulk of the hits/top 100.

Hello auntblabby. I'm glad to meet another musical theatre fan. Regular artists can win grammy's but there's so much more to music than what you hear in mainstream pop. Musical theatre artists can win the triple crown, an oscar, emmy and tony award throughout their career and they are so much more flexible than pop artists. I find showtunes much easier to sing because to me they mean something. :)
