hi Jhomes, It is nice to have you come back on worng planet. i work as an advocate, I heard you go to college. what is your major?

i can give you example in america. we possible think there are more adults in america who do not relize they have autism themselves. most things in america are focus into childern with autism not adults too. so chould even more asipes in India then most people relize. if you want to find them. it is also best besides the internet to find others with autism. is learn to figer out in real life who might have autism around you too. this takes pratice to figer out if someone might possible have autism by observing others. and befriending them

dont feel bad, your writing skills in english are great, i say yours is better then mine, and i am from a western english speacking place.

I'm glad you liked my post. It is not necessary that every aspie will have every characteristic of aspergers. Compared to you my social problems are very mild, even though I'm socially very awkward. Most of your characteristics fit into the aspie description.

Could it be that you were getting confused while talking and giving the journal?

Ceramic/plastic/silicone/wooden utensils are available in India, but they are much costlier, and my mom and wife would not be very comfortable using them because they've always used metal utensils. Besides, compared to the other noises, the utensils noise is much less, so it's not really a priority issue for me.

Is this what you're talking about - http://www.inner-gourmet.com/2010/10/gu ... ourie.html ? From the recipe it looks like it would be delicious! So similar to Indian vadas (dumplings). And chicken curry and roti are like totally Indian. So yes, there's a definite connection.

The inspiration is both ways, more about it in my below post.[/quote]

yes that is what am taking about, it is possible my fav snack food but i have not have it in few years. the last time i had it was in new york city at a family get to together,. my granfather sister made them with this green mango spicy saouse. which i know was not a chutney

wow pholourie and vadas look so simlier but pholourie is made from peas instead of lentalsor other things i wander if is just pholourie is just modafied food item that indians that immigrant from India made becouse they could not find the right ingredents needed to make vadas.

all this talk about food is making me quite hungry :drunken:. that person making seem them make seem so easy and tastey am so happy you find this site :D yeah . i have been trying to connect to my roots by cooking also and she makes cooking so clear, am not a bad cook just dont have much experence in cooking.

i think you have inspiration from both sides to make anything become a sucuess. both side will have respect for one of the other. i just wish the world was like this thread :)

i have been talking to the people i know. and you remember the list of autism organizations from India you gave me. well and the people i know. say i sould try to connect a couple of organizations and see if they will host our autism society group in India............ :D :D :D :D

You can show this to anyone you want. That's the reason I wrote it in a public forum, I want as many people to see this as possible, because this is unique to eastern countries. You won't find western aspies facing such problems.

I mentioned to you earlier that I have my own makeshift solutions, though not very effective. Many of them are similar to your suggestions, and they end up creating their own problems. But I'll write about that later. I'm already saturated by my 'confessional' post, and the continuous noise that was there yesterday. It will take a couple of days for the sensory overload to get over.

According the recipe on that page, it is mango achar not chutney, just like you said.
Google 'split peas vada' or 'yellow peas vada', you'll find many Indian (nontraditional) recipes.
If you can't find pholourie ingredients, you can invent something from american ingredients. Modified food item for Guyanese immigrants!

I wish the world was just like the internet!

Your autism organization is already there in India, but it is in Bangalore. Far away from my city :(.

Where do you guys get all these ideas yaar!! Now I am wishing to God that I was also young like you guys!

Till now we did not think of using youtube's capability for reaching out to people. When you mix the language idea with the video idea, it's sheer genius!

The ideas are coming at such speed that we'll need to keep a list of ideas, otherwise we'll forget some of the important ones. And to think that all this happened in just 3 weeks! Lady-ivy's first post in this thread was on 8th Jan, that is where it started. From page 10 to 17 in 22 days. 7 pages = nearly 100 posts!
Now it looks like we're getting somewhere. :salut: :wtg:

I guess I chould do that. but think if went speacality market like an Indian market I chould find what am looking for. Unfortunately there is only one in riverside. am starting to think riverside is the city my destiny want me to live.

I guess guyaness pholourie is a antother name for pea Vada

It did not look like mango achor but instead look like some yellow and greenish thick dip sauce.

But I mint was our American orangztion and few people from it come to India to do some presenting.
