And what's that supposed to mean?

What? You need something to do? Look it up. Oh never mind, it has volts of electric in it's little paws, that's all you need to know.

Well ......as long as you put it that way. I'm honored. I thought it was like air guitar.

CC, There is something very strange going on here. I have been trying to puzzle it out for 2 days now. Just when I think I have it, something else weird happens and I've got the befuddled look on my face again.
I noticed your hard work but as usual, had not time to give you the acknowledgement you deserve!

In acknowledgement of your wonderful spirit and endless dedication, I offer you this:

cosmiccat... you are quite correct, in spotting that we do not make a lot of sense. What I find surprising is that it has taken you this long to notice!

However...

The "post, post, post" was, I believe, in order to push the rather distracting large Newton's Cradle off the page before everyone freaked out. (Pretty as it was, I'm certainly not the only one who can't handle big animated gifs.)

The absence of various people at various points during the day is often due to people sleeping. Strange, I admit, as I'm still here and it's just coming up to 4:30am for me.

The lack of response to your collection of avatars (is "ta!" now too late?) might be due to your (initial) wilful exclusion of certain people, such as Hartzofspace.

Also, we have a mystery going on, by way of SleepyDragon's zapped posts.

(I really should go to bed before I get up.)

I've been away for many days, so am catching up on the posts. Yep. Yer right. Just traces of where posts used to be. 8O Good thing you brought Chan in on this.

A suggestion: Perhaps Lau Chan can follow the I/O trail better than most? (In this new modern age, we need a new modern Chan).

Merle-one, Nan-one, and Postie-one have all been in computer world rong time. Perhaps can also assist?

I'm sorry Carol! I was sitting here, all ready to post, when the shift work/ no sleep/ old age thing kicked in and I promptly fell asleep in this chair, dozing for hours. I laughed my hiney off over "brumbring ass son" when I woke up!! ! Laughing I am now going to investigate the SleepyDragon/Nannarob disappearance I have just read that you wrote about.

I loved your post! Very Happy

Thank you, Dahling. I just took a xanax. I should be able to scrape my tongue up off the floor in twenty minutes.

I must confess I have no idea what's going on around here and feel rather disconcerted. Why the post, post, post thing to get something off the page. What something? Nothing you guys are saying makes any sense to me. Is this intentional? Also, I do not keep souls in a pickle jar on the mantle, I just want to get that straight. I keep them in a cobalt wine decanter on my night table. So there. I checked a few minutes ago and Sleepy Dragon and Godwit are not there. They never were there. I worked my ass off to do my Charlie Chan post and get all of you guys in the parlor and nobody said beans about it. So I'm a little miffed. At the same time I was programming Papa John's new cell phone which was not an easy job with him interrupting me every two minutes and to make it even more excruciating I had to do all of this with the stinking television blasting and with really bad heartburn and and as if that wasn't enough, I had to talk myself out of a panic attack. So I want some kind of an award or something for my hard work and on going dedication. If you think my tongue is in my cheek, it is not.

the 'post post post' was to get the Newton's Cradle off the page because we thought it was hyptnotizing the cafe. so we posted to push the page from one page to the other.

we were all there . . .Charlie Chan was over us ... we were all assembled. . .gawd, we ARE like herding cats, you know. . .

I hope your heartburn feels better, I hate to be interupted and have the TV blasting. . .

please accept our thanks by accepting this:

The CC ASSEMBLY AWARD

thank you, CC, thank you very much!

"This means so much more to me this time, I don't know why. I think the first time I hardly felt it because it was all too new. But I want to say 'thank you' to you. I haven't had an orthodox career. And I've wanted more than anything to have your respect. The first time I didn't feel it. But this time I feel it. And I can't deny the fact that you like me... right now... you like me. Thank you."Image

Humm, not sure I'm following you, probably a good thing, you have holes in your front yard. Now...if I catch the drift here, let me say about tracking people to thier lairs... I never did that, it wasn't me, and all that I knew that did, are reformed. I knew one guy in the way back that could make your printer spit out the word, "hi".

PS, when I lived in Berkeley, CA there was this wonderful grove of Oak Trees that was such comfort.

They are going to cut them all down to expand their USC campus sports center and you know me, I feel so sorry for the trees and animals and birds that have that little oasis.

No way!! :( That makes me very sad, too, Merle. I had a large spruce tree in my front flower bed when I moved here. It was leaning into the soffit and damaging the roof, so I had to have it cut down. I apologized to the darn thing before it was removed.

way!
it saddens me too. Such a quiet place there in the huge city. I weep and I haven't been there for 15 years.

well, maybe I was just singing 'I get knocked down, but I get up again. . .ain't nobody gonna keep me down"
and the waterworks started.

Goin' to work, see you tonight!!

Love you all
