There are actually two origins of my username, fasteddie. On a trip to Alaska that I took one of my favorite restaurants was called "Fast Eddy's". Also, my middle name is Edward, so essentially it's a nickname.

Fast Eddie is also an Atari 2600 game. Can be played on the Stella emulator.

"The Spectre Within" is the title of an early album by the progressive metal band Fates Warning. Both the album and the band are recent obsessions of mine but I also figured Spectre Within related well to the idea of inner personal worlds or a spirit within which is not readily apparent to the outside world - something I've been thinking about a lot in regards to some of my Aspie traits.

My nickname "Revenant" which means living dead, zombie, or one who has returned is one I came up with because of me surviving tragedy after tragedy which has left me numb and emotionless.

I was bullied, terrorized and beaten since kindergarten. Survived it. I ventured int drug abuse because of all the traumas. Survived it(clean for 2 years).

Needless to say the happenings have left a mark on me. I havent felt happiness for five years.

So i think my nickname suits me very well :)

I am what is usually called a Greaser, it ind of predates punks, it was a term for juvenile delinquents in the late 1950's-early 60's.
when you go out cruisin you first want to make sure you machine is ready and greased up, then you need to grease up you hair, usually stacked at the top with a ducs tail at the back.
Every were i work i am nicknamed Elvis becuase this I guess ids the most famous person who was kind of a greaser type, i dont tell people thats my nick name, i just seem to get called that everywere i work.
There is a strong existence of greasers still around today, maybe more than ever, we meet at rockabilly, hotrod & custom and nostalgia drag racing events.you can find out about it if you do a search for Kustom Kulture, it wouldnt surprise me if many of these guys were aspie's, a strange concidence is that everyone i know into this stuff has way above average drawing skills.

Eyphur is my real nickname. I have used it as a screen name ever since I got online, so that if I did meet someone in this universe called the internet, they would recignise me.

I named one of my pet flashlights Mesious. You see, I have a sort-of make-believe belief that the souls of flashlights are the lights themselves, and whenever they die, they go to the moon (their souls, that is). Because the moon is chock full of trilithium, which is potentially a very valuable energy source (rather, for batteries and such). I think that's one of the reasons we're going back to the moon (by we I mean many countries space programs are sending craft to the moon). Isaac Asimov proposed a cable system whereby we would mine the moon of any useful resources. I think it was Asimov. Anyway. I threw Mesious in a creek one day to free her.

My user name is inspired by a poem that I wrote called "Immortality"...

With you by my side
I saw the ends of the earth
Forgot stunning truths
Believed awful lies
You tarnished my heart
And corrupted my soul
When you'd used my worth
You cast me aside
Banished me from the earth

Wounded, and spiteful
I gaze to the sky
And say beneath my breath;
"Never injure what cannot die"
"Never injure what cannot die"

Now I'm not resentful
And I know no fear.
I cheated my fate
And my own fatality
Of all the things you took
You gave me immortality
I'm vulnerable? No more
I'm guilty? No more
I'm nevermore ashamed

Wounded and empowered
I gaze to the sky
And say under my breath:
"never injure what cannot die."
"never injure what cannot die."

You can't hurt me now
I am not afraid
You can't touch me now
I am not afraid.
You can't use me now
I'll never be afraid
