Why do black widow spiders kill their males after mating?
To stop the snoring before it starts.

Who likes my new signature? I feel evil but...pleased with myself.

What you needed a new sig to make me think you were an evul NT? Not working. I had your kind pegged right from the start. You can run, but you cannot hide.

:D :D :D nannarob! :D :D :D
So good to have you back! I'm glad that you were able to go visit the place you met your husband. I find it interesting that it hasn't changed much in forty years. Around here, places change quickly. I went to my 30 year High School class reunion a year ago because an old friend of mine found me on the internet and asked me to come. I didn't recognize anything in that town. The school itself was condemned and bulldozed two years after I graduated. A new road crosses where it used to be. What used to be farmland is now subdivision after subdivision and shopping mall after shopping mall.
We had the reunion in a park that didn't exist when I lived there. 8O

I hope that you are feeling well.

Not a criticism against you, but I personally do not care for your new signature because of this: I have nothing against "NT"s. "NT" and "neurotypical" is thrown around like a pejorative term around certain parts of Wrong Planet. When I say NT I only mean it as an adjective or identifier - not as an insult. We are different - that is all.

I hope you know that I do not think of you in any negative way whatsoever. :D I luvs yas nanarob!

Lauri, I hope you are feeling better and that your day goes better today! :D And I extend my sympathy to the little boy, and his family, who's mother just passed. I don't fully understand the world we live in - too large for me to comprehend. Perhaps it is all just a cosmic joke, and I just can't understand the punchline. I stand laughing, as if I get the joke, but looking left and right I suspect that everyone around me knows that I am faking it.

Merle! You made it to the weekend! :D

So, where are the muffins?

I want mine right now and extra large.

HEY!!

Image

NOT SO LITERAL!

What is this? Some kind of an Aspie Café?

Now, I'm going to have to walk back. And there's coffee spilled all down the front of my pants. At least I hope it's coffee.

Geesh!

Places close to the coast are being rapidly 'developed'. The trees are scraped away and the concrete is laid. But further west things stay the same. We even recognised old halls and houses and roads! Some of the roads had been improved and widened, and some of the larger towns had new development, but the little towns were the same. In fact, out 3 teacher school is now a 2 teacher school!

How are your holes in the ground, Chuck? Have you had time to get anything done?

Well hello, Nannarob and Chuck, if your still here.

I just dropped by to get a slurp and a bite, and had a little accident.

I thought i was going to do the first morning post after Postpaleo killed it last night, but got beaten to it while attempting to keyboard.

So, have we talked before? Do you know me? I'm not sure I do.

You can tell it's not coffee from over there?

Hello nannarob! Have experts on their way next month to give their opinion of my new subterranean playground! It hasn't moved this week. :D I take that as "good".

Hello Godwit - no we haven't met. Pleased to meet you! You tote a heckuva muffin! 8O

My nickname in our family is Last Word, but sometimes the banter around here even keeps me quiet. So I have read all your whinsy, Godwit, and welcomed you, AND thought you were Australian. But I've been pretty quiet lately.

Nice to meet you, Chuck. And I swear i wasn't toting it. I know this may be hard to believe, but I couldn't even fit that thing into my mouth.

As to squirrels and bird feeders, if anyone wants any advice, I'm pretty good at that.

As to you nannarob. Giday!

Sorry, but I'm really bad at names, and faces, and numbers, and communication, and maybe a few other minor things as well.

Actually, now that I think of it, there's really nothing I'm good at.

So, just forget about the squirrels and bird feeders advice.

But I do know what a bird is.

Thanks for making me a Raven.
