The Dino-Aspie Ex-Café (for Those 40+... or feeling creaky)
I am feeling better, Nannarob. And I am staying away from the boys. I'm observing, really!
The young lady that passed was an alcoholic and her baby was about 13 months old. It was a shock and followed on the heels of a serious of unfortunate events yesterday. The alcohol was like a smack upside the head and I have pulled myself together.
Will it cut into my billion if I admit I just cut and pasted the Welsh Gaelic phrase, because I was pretty sure I couldn't type that without stretching first?

Thanks, Godwit!

Nine hours of artificial light exposure! Researchable! How do you feel, and are you now, or were you ever dyslexic? Answer green or red.
I'm not here, remember?

He can't see you, get behind him and whipser the answer, "blue".

I certainly am not the moral compass.

well, let's see what might also be going on here. There was a religious group that splintered off from the church of England because they wanted to blend scientific principle to religion and they were taunted as having a method to Christianity. That method brought them to the new world and established their place as early America's clergy in the North East of the 13 british colonies in the early founding when England recalled all the clergy from the Church Of England and the that splinter group with the method stayed as a revolutionary act against the crown. The early U.S didn't fail because they had their church sacrements and weren't dependent on COE. Their nickname that was supposed to ridicule formed the name we know them as now the "Methodists".
I hear the same thing happened with the Friends Church, because they used to have a lot of movement in their ritual and they "Quaked before the Lord", they became known as the Quakers and they embraced the Quaker name
so when someone hangs a moniker on you, sometimes you can wear it proudly and make it your own, never to have anyone discover too late where you stand on the question "where are you on the spectrum?"
love you, nannaRobyn...

"She's identified as NT, what can you expect. I thought it was inappropriate but that's NT's for you."
Robyn, I have no idea about the history of this phrase, but you seem incredibly sensitive, patient and kind to Aspies. I mean you've done that with me, and I would try the patience of Job. So, if you do try to keep us in line every once in a while, that's fine with me. And I don't know why anybody would disagree with my sense of you. And I think Chuck feels the same way. But if anybody wants to disagree, they can.
Robyn, I think you are really sweet.
But, Robyn, please, when you do come after me, and it's bound to happen, just don't make me wet my pants, I'm begging you, OK? I bet you could be REALLY, REALLY scary. Sort of like almost everyone else is. Well, at least to me.
Now, Chuck, you seem like a really nice guy, sort of like Alan (the Older) and Lau are. And I know that you know that there are a heck of a lot of wonderful NT's in this world, a lot of NT jerks, and some wonderful Aspies anf some very, very, very scary Aspies. And I think Robyn would agree.

Wow! You are really smart, Lemer. And soooo rational. Are you sure you're an Aspie? Or, are you compulsively rational?
We simply HAVE to get you on the grant application team. You'd just leave them no alternative but to say yes.
Note to Formerly Known as Chuck: Double the cost estimates! Make that quadruple!

I often laugh aloud when I read in the cafe. Sometimes I'm off doing other things and I laugh aloud. And now we have a new member who, as one would expect from a male, is fascinated with his member.
There is a history to my signature - but it is not NT bashing.

I forget to say, Godwit, that I am an ex teacher. I have 'the glare' and have often scared the socks off people even though I'm not even aware of them. So be very scared...and behave!

OK I confess. Your avatar really scares me. Whenever I pan down the page, I cross my legs in order to provide better protection to most prized possession.

Hey, not everyone is scary. And I've tried.
