wow thats a huge from Ahmedabad population level. and the only US city that bigger then Ahmedabad is new york city. which means the other 3 higher population cites are higher then new york city am shocked but i sould not be. from what i last heard India has the 2nd highest popultion in the world.
Ahmedabad looks like nice city. i could be worng as i am looking at scenery pictures. but with a city that has that big of a population am surprise no one has tried to put an organizations there. even if people dont know about autism. besides you there is more likey to 1000's of autisitcs in your city. funny thing the 1000's of them dont relize they have a some form of autism.

my freind told me ADHD is possible may be a form of autism saprtium. I have a form of ADHD too. my mind is always on the run at full speed. i just think so fast i sometimes forget what someone wanted me to do like home chures or telling me to do something like calling for appointments. but i never forget anything about school, or things what interest me i have great memory of that . does this happen to you too. :?:

you are so cool 8) thanks so much. am hopeing i might be a good at understanding hindi someday.

in yes in a great way :D but pleasure is mine too. i know i told you already but this is a passion of mine. thanks for letting me in this autism project in India. i feel a connection with my ancestral lands from doing this project with you guys. if you have any quetions on what i can do to help my fellow autisitcs in India. dont be afraid to ask. 8)

Ahmedabad is the 7th largest city in India, not the 4th. It's like this -

1. Delhi (NCR) - 21,753,486
2. Mumbai Metropolitan Region - 20,748,395
3. Kolkata Metropolitan Area - 14,617,882
4. Chennai Metropolitan Area - 8,917,749
5. Bangalore - 8,728,906
New York - 8,175,133
6. Hyderabad - 7,749,334
7. Ahmedabad - 6,352,254

Ahmedabad has good economic progress and cultural values. But in terms of social awareness, people are like intentionally remaining backwards. People of the Gujarat state are known for their obsession for food and finance. It's like, they feel that other things are unimportant, so they are intentionally lazy about them.

That's the reason that me, Jignesh, Sabu are so charged up about spreading awareness. People haven't even heard the word Autism. 1000s are suffering the way we did, and they have no way out. It's a tragedy. Someday I'll write about all the ways in which an aspie's life improves, after he finds out about aspergers. Maybe then people will see why awareness is important.

I don't know if I forget things because of ADHD, autism or just bad memory. ADHD affects me in different ways, maybe I'll make a seperate post about that too. That makes it 3 remaining posts :). I haven't searched much on hindi yet, but I came across a book by Richard Delacy called Elementary Hindi. You can google it to find out more.

Thanks, we'll ask you whenever we need help. Actually we do ask you when we need your help :). You shouldn't feel like an outsider now, you're one of us now ! !

misswording (face plam) of the city ranking of amedabad. :?

i guess that why it looks so nice in amedabad. they try to make it a tourist place and they want in bring poeple with food. to make the city grow and be nice but almost ignore everything else. i think most cites are like that. am hoping Autism awareness will rise in India( and 100% sure you guys want to this too. but when alot of people relize they are on the spetruim, they will complain there is not enongth for them and they are not seen, misunderstad . people in India will relize snice there so many of us. and they will have to do something about all the complaining people. and i hope this leads to good view on autism.
I would love to read about it one day. :)

i would love to hear how ADHD effects you.

i have been reading up on different Hindi learning sites too. i did not relize hindi like the other asian written language is by characters. in the west we use letter by letter to make a word.i would be able to use site or book to learn hindi. the thing is i cant learn to speck hindi reading a english written way to say it. i have to learn it audio.

from post before why thinking ahead is my downfall. it can be my downfall becouse i tend think to the very end or the prime of something. people say you should do step by step.

well if we are all one big happy indian autistic family hugs for you, Jignesh, Sabu and every unnamed autistic in India

Ahmedabad is not like a tourist attraction or something, but if you search something like google images for any city, it will show tourist attractions and famous landmarks only :)! You are definitely thinking ahead on autism, but this time it is a good thing.

The Richard Delacy book comes with a CD, but of course it can't replace an actual class. I didn't get what meant by 'written by characters'.
Going step-by-step is good, and so is thinking ahead. If you can do both, it won't remain a downfall :).

Man, you got me emotional there :'-). Hugs to you from India Image.

Don't take it the wrong way, just want to know the reason for this. Were there too many requests for making country threads sticky? :)

Also, shouldn't the thread title read 'Country / Age-related / Gender etc'? Regional sounds more like for US regions.

i wanted some consistency with having all similar discussion threads either stickied or unstickied. also, the stickies and announcement obscure part of the page where most discussion happens so we use them sparingly and periodically review the stickies in each forum.

but most important of all - members tend to ignore stickies whereas regular threads get more attention. stickying threads makes them sort of "disappear" except to people who have already posted in them. it's a weird thing.

i used the word "regional" in case any discussion threads arise that are not country-specific.

I thought becouse maybe becouse are known for there food and finance business . I thought they cater to tourist too. I. Find if people look a landmarks and attractions of a city especial new York city they see attractions of like the statue of liberty, never really the other unattractions that the locals only really go too. When tourist who go to new york city
They go to tourist attractions and most popular main places there. But the tourist never go to the nicks and crannys places in new York city were the local are.

If I was to get the book or learn from site. I would see it as introduction thing before I can if am lucky find a class. Am trying to think of a way to describe the Hindi characters to English letter system. You know you spell mango with 5 letters in English you take the m and a and n and g and o put them together you get mango .but I think in mango in Hindi correct me if worng( i sound so bad describing this. you write an image like character writing to make the word mango.

Am thinking about adding the autism related questions we made or we can make more too to this thread and the other sites we are on. And I think you saw the driving question on the Indian Aspie site, am going start adding more releated autism questions to it. Possible once a week. I think it may time to put the questions we made on this site and others. I know our members are low. But think it is time. What do you think Dhawal. Am going to ask Jhomes on what he thinks about it.

awwwwwwwww I feel so loved :D  now am getting emotional. :bounce:
